Highlight of our trip! A must do activity. - We had the best time with the team at My First Paella and would definitely recommend as an activity to do whilst in Valencia. We met outside the market in Rusafa and were introduced to 2 of the team members who then took us in 2 groups into the market to shop for ingredients. We were given lots of information about the ingredients and the different types of paella. We then took the short walk to the kitchen where we put on our aprons and were given a selection of tapas and then shown how to make sangria. This was very entertaining and the sangria was delicious!
We then started to chop the ingredients needed for our dish.
We had opted to make the traditional Valencian paella with rabbit, chicken and snails but there was also a small group making Seafood Paella at the same time, so that meant that we got to see the difference between the 2 methods. There were 4 of us around our paella, with about 8 others around another paella at the end of the workbench.
After cooking the paella, which was great fun, we were given another drink ( a bit like ouzo) and then sat down to taste our concoctions with wine. There was dessert and coffee to finish off our day.
Thank you to the team for making our time such fun! We will definitely be making this at home and glad that the recipes are on your website for us to remember what we learnt!

a successful exchange - I had registered a group of students and we were very happy to attend this workshop. Quality services and the 2 people who took care of us were absolutely awesome! A good time for intercultural sharing.

Best experience in Valencia - Best experience during our visit to Valencia. Our host Valentine was great! They have a great cooking studio and space to make the paella. We enjoyed Sangria and delicious tapas while we cooked. Had a wonderful sit down lunch when we were finished. Highly recommend!

Great time! - Very informative. Anna, Juan & Christina were so much fun and also very accomplished. As a former food service professional, I especially liked their attention to safety & sanitation. They also accommodated those with special dietary requirements with ease.

Fun and yummy experience - This was fun! It was sometimes a bit difficult to understand the guide group’s English, but the whole day was still a blast and we learned to make a delicious paella. Also appreciated the appetizers, sangria, and desserts that were included!

Viva Paella - What a fantastic and energetic team we had today for the workshop! Jose, Valentino and Anna were all super inspiring and fun to work with. They really created the right setting and atmosphere for a traditional paella. We are left wanting for more and will hone are new found paella making skills at home for family and friends. Many thanks!

Great value and fun and lovely people - Loved this activity - guides were great particularly Valentin and Chris! Market visit brought the experience alive and then made 2 massive paellas whilst being entertained with the history from Chris! Drink was flowing and the experience was great value for money. They deserve to do really well!

Must do when in Spain - The experience started with a visit to the market. It was obvious that the guides were local and knew the market and vendors very well. Then a short walk to the kitchen to cook the paella. Absolutely amazing experience! Four of us were cooking vegetarian, but we also got to see the seafood as well as the meat paella being cooked. The hosts could not have been nicer.

Unforgettable! - I bought this experience as a birthday present for my son who loves Spain and loves cooking: a perfect combination! Three hours of flying during which we learned how to make Vera Valencian paella (no Italian site can provide these directions) as well as tasting fresh and quality food purchased a few minutes before at the market. Highly recommended to those who want to take home the art of preparing the dish par excellence of the Valencian tradition accompanied by so much expertise and sympathy!
