• La Ola Fresca - We will travel to the area of the world with the highest concentration of 1,000 year old olive trees in the world; visit an olive mill built in 1606; visit a modern olive mill (owned by one of Spain’s greatest olive oil producers) so as to understand the process of modern oil production; learn how international olive oil tasters like Johnny Madge taste olive oil and have lunch in an olive grove where we will see how the different olive oils transform the dishes. As we drive around Johnny tells you about the history of olive oil in the Castelln area which goes back to the time of the Romans who were importing oil from Spain 2,000 years ago. All this is done in a fun and relaxed way where Johnny encourages everyone to ask as many questions as they like about the mysterious world of olive oil. You are driven around in Johnny’s comfortable, air-conditioned 9-seater minibus.
