Valencia day trip with p&0 iona - We visited here as part of our cruise on iona
Great place to come and see
The science and art area is great but also the old town was good too.the market we stumbled on was great with lots of food and local things to buy.be careful of pick pockets by the cruise pick up point as one person was pickpocketed while we were waiting for the bus.i would definitely go here again.

City of arts and sciences by Calatrava excellent tour - A great experience Miguel was an excellent guide. The venue is phenomenal and he knew just the right spots to get the best advantage for the view as well as to see some of the performing arts in action. Well paced very thorough and expertly organized from beginning to end, highly recommend.

Impressive - If you’re anywhere near Valencia, you simply have to see the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias. The architecture alone is worth the visit — futuristic, elegant, and completely unique. Designed by Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela, every curve and reflection feels like a dream. Take your time, walk around, sit by the water, and just let it impress you. It’s not just a place — it’s an experience you won’t forget.

A must visit! - We were surprised to be alone with the guide, Julian if my memory is good, language spoken English with a French base also. Exterior visit , on foot from 10:30 to 13:00...very well documented concerning the philosophy and art of the architect and engineer Santiago Calatrava; references photos of the interior that our guide shared with us with his IPad. A perfect tour for a general overview especially if there is no time to return to visit the interior of some buildings. Guide adapts to our rhythm and makes us discover everything in a very educational and dynamic way. He is very sensitive to our perception of certain elements of architecture. We are delighted with our visit and highly recommend it.

Highly recommend - Very good and worth while exhibits. The exhibit on discoveries in women’s health including stages of breast cancer detection helped me to know I had breast cancer. I am now a breast cancer survivor of Paget’s disease, stage 0. Also, the chicks hatching and space exhibits were both entertaining for kids and adults. Great food in the dining areas. No air conditioning on the upper floors.

I visited The City of Arts and Sciences as a solo traveler - I visited The City of Arts and Sciences as a solo traveler, and it was fantastic! The modern architecture is stunning, and the whole area feels like something from the future. The science museum was my favorite—it had cool exhibits about space, technology, and nature. The aquarium was also impressive, with a huge variety of sea life.
Walking around the outdoor spaces was peaceful, with beautiful views of the water and buildings. I spent about 4 hours there, but you could easily stay longer.
Overall, it’s a must-visit in Valencia perfect for solo travelers or anyone who loves science, art, and nature. Don't forget your camera.
