We Spotted a Puma! - Lovely tour! San Pedrillo station is absolutely gorgeous. Eduardo was very knowledgeable and we were lucky enough to spot a puma! Be prepared for a turbulent ride there and back on the boat! We saw a small pod of dolphins on the way back. About 1 - 1.5 hours each way.

Amazing tour - I had the best time on this tour! Everyone was incredibly friendly, and the owner really wants people to have the best of time possible. I did the tours on two separate days to maximise chances of seeing wildlife and they ensured that we did different paths on both, which was super kind. The place is incredible, and is really a must see if you like wildlife. We also stopped on the way there and back to see sea life - whales, dolphins and even turtles. I really recommend this tour!

Cannot recommend this tour enough! One in a lifetime experience! - Ballena Tours took us on an incredible adventure to Corcovado National Park in May 2024. Our boat captain made the boat ride there and back as easy as possible, even stopping along the way when we saw dolphins and sea turtles in the water so we could all see. Our tour guide, Walter, was so knowledgeable, passionate, and enthusiastic. We saw so many beautiful animals I had never need before: Tapir, Anteater, Spider Monkey, Coati, crocodile, and many more! As a wildlife photographer himself, Walter helped us take amazing pictures of the animals. Bring sunscreen and bug spray — it’s a jungle by the beach after all! I cannot recommend Ballena Tours and booking the Corcovado National Park Tour enough! If you’re in Uvita, you have to do it!

Fun, and adventurous, trip to Corcovado - Overall this was a great experience. As advertised, the hike was long, but mostly flat. It rained the day before so it was very muddy and slippery. We were lucky to be able to see a lot of animals. The pictures that we were able to get with the guides help were absolutely amazing. Rain came at the end of the day, and getting back on the boats was very challenging. The guides did an incredible job of making it as safe as possible. I was impressed how the guides from the different tour groups stayed and helped each other. The only reason I gave it a 4-star is because I wish there had been a little more warning about the boat ride over potential to be rough. And our guide kept saying he would give us pictures afterwards, but when we got off the boat he just took off! I even chased him to give him a tip and wasn’t ache to. I would give it a 4 1/2 star if possible.

Visit corcovado - Excellent service and attention. The Guide well prepared and attentive. The hike along the trail made us very good weather and the luck and coordination between guides allowed us to observe one of the big cats in the area

Average tour with too large a group - The guide, Walter was very knowledgeable, but did not seem to spend enough time looking for wildlife. The time spent in the park was too short and the group size was much too large. And there too many other groups in the park. The lunch was very good and we had an unfortunate day of seeing very little wildlife. Also, the website should give clear instructions of what to bring, such as both water shoes and hiking shoes, reuseable water bottles (no plastic allowed), and extra water of your own beyond what they supply. Fortunately I had asked in advance and was prepared, but many were not. The beach was beautiful, but beware, the sand is burning hot so have water shoes and close toed hiking shoes, and a towel to get the sand off your feet!

Expensive if you don’t see animals … - Unfortunately we have seen only 2 monkeys. I honestly think that we should be informed that when it’s rainy the chance of seeing tapir or ants eaters is not on our side. For a family of 4, 800$ Canadian money is very expensive when you don’t see animals.

Disappointing! - We were disappointed by our experience. Going 3 hours by boat to walk almost only in a path bordering the shore did not seem like an exhilarating experience. We could have made the same kind of visit around Uvita. Moreover, We had few explanations. Too bad, because the goal of going to Cocovado is to soak up the rainforest, learn about its vegetation and wildlife. In short, our experience is far from worth the price we paid.

Overpriced walk - First off Viator basically provided few to no details about this experience: you can’t bring a plastic bottle, it’s a wet entry and landing from the boat, the boat ride is incredibly choppy, the hike is a walk around the outskirts of the park nothing more. We landed at Corcovado a bit late: 9:30am and had to leave by 1pm. The hike itself was maybe 2.5 hours. That’s not worth $170 bucks. The guide was solid and it’s not his fault we only saw dolphins, toucans, spider monkeys, coatis, and a few birds. The abundant wildlife was non-existent. There’s more wildlife in Manuel Antonio. Also the remoteness is over advertised. A guard was blowing whistles, groups were running into each other in the park, they had tractors running, golf carts, bathrooms in multiple places. Go find a different park, go to another ranger station, or stay overnight but this one day tour is not worth it. Lunch was fine if that’s something that matters to you.

Forget San Pedrillo in Corcovado - The tour is really extensive for what you can see... The guide was too young and had not enough experience. Normally we had to go to la Sirena but the day before , it has been cancelled, a shame. Moreover the guide was running to go back under 35 degrees
