Hingula - Upon arrival, the Chauffeur/Guide will warmly welcome you at Bandaranaike International Airport. Once you reach Mawanalla Saradiyel village, check into your Homestay and enjoy a couple of hours of rest. You will then have the opportunity to participate in a unique cookery demonstration session led by traditional village mothers, which includes your lunch.
After lunch, embark on a trek to Uthuwankande Mountain, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and reflect on the life of Sura Saradiyel.

Uthuwankanda - Uthuwankanda is a village located in the Kegalle district, known for its rock that served as a hideout for the local bandit Saradiel. The mini hike to Uthuwankanda offers visitors an authentic village walk, famously known as Robin Hood’s village in Sri Lanka. This village experience includes four parts: Saradiel rock, Saradiel cave, Saradiel theme park, and Bo Ella, with the hike to Saradiel rock being the main adventure activity. Saradiel, born during the British rule in Sri Lanka, is celebrated as the Sri Lankan Robin Hood, who stole from the rich to give to the poor.

Pilimathalawa - Breakfast will be served at the Captain Lodge Homestay. Today, embark on a full-day cycling tour in Pilimathalawa, visiting three temples. Depart the hotel around 0800hrs, with the guide arranging all aspects of your tour. While cycling, you will encounter pristine spice plants and the nearby three temple complexes.
The three temples (Gadaladeniya, Lankathilake, Embekka) were constructed in the 14th century, before the full establishment of the Kandyan Kingdom. These temples are located within easy walking distance, offering an unforgettable experience for heritage enthusiasts.

Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic - The Temple of the Tooth is a significant site for Buddhists, as it houses the sacred tooth relic of Buddha, known as “Sri Dalada Maligawa.” It is renowned for its intricate carvings and unique Sri Lankan art. The most notable feature of the Dalada Maligawa is the octagon (Pathirppuwa). Thousands of visitors line up daily to witness its grandeur.

Peradeniya - Located in Kandy’s suburb of Peradeniya, the stunning Peradeniya Botanical Garden dates back to 1371. Initially enjoyed by a Kandyan queen, this magnificent garden is bordered on three sides by a large bend in the Mahaweli River. It served as a Kandyan prince’s residence in the 18th Century and became one of the greatest Botanical Gardens in the British Empire in the early 1800s. During a brief period in the Second World War, it was used as the Allied Forces Headquarters for the Asian region.
