• Paso Garibaldi - The journey begins with a combi ride from Ushuaia city. Traveling along RN 3, the route passes through the Tierra Mayor Valley, leading to the Garibaldi Pass area. During the 50-minute vehicle tour, there will be an engaging discussion about the history, culture, and landscapes of the region. It’s recommended to bring some mate and get comfortable.
• Lagunas Gemelas - Upon reaching the pass, the group will stop and prepare for a trek. The hike is a 3-hour round trip, considered easy to moderate due to its 4km length, though it includes uphill sections with mountain terrain, stones, peat, mud, and adventure. The tour is delightful, offering spectacular views of the mountain range from the summit, beyond the vegetation line, leading to the twin lagoons, two mountain lakes. The trek continues to rock terraces with views of the hidden and Fagnano lakes. At the top, participants will enjoy a hot drink, a delicious alfajor, and some trail food.
• Lago Escondido - The group will return to the combi to proceed to the hidden lake, a mere 15-minute drive to the lake’s head, where a hot mountain stew will be served while preparing the boat and rowing equipment. The boats, available in single or double, are very stable and easy to maneuver. The lake crossing takes about an hour, aiming to connect with the water and surrounding environment. If weather conditions are challenging due to wind or rain, an alternative trekking activity will be arranged. This includes a visit to the waterfall “Wedding Veil” in the Olivia River area, a one-hour walk through the forest to see two waterfalls among the rocks, with the opportunity to stand behind one and feel the water’s force. The walk is easy, though it includes some steep sections.

If weather conditions allow, continue the adventure to the head of the hidden lake for a day of paddling. Should wind or rain prevent this activity, an alternative trek to the Bride’s Veil Waterfall near the Olivia River will be arranged. This one-hour hike through the forest features two stunning waterfalls nestled among the rocks, with the opportunity to stand behind one and experience the power of the water. The walk is manageable, though some sections are steep.
