As glaciers are retreating, they may soon vanish, making this a rare opportunity. Visitors are encouraged to walk on the glacier, marvel at its crevices and sinkholes, and explore an ice cave*. It’s important to note that the glacier is continuously receding, causing the landscape to change and melt.
The terrain is mountainous, and the trail conditions vary with the weather. Participants can enjoy a delicious lunch, engaging conversations, and breathtaking views before heading back to the city. The trek is of medium difficulty, requiring good physical fitness. Maintaining a steady and consistent pace is crucial to reaching the destination and returning safely.

Upon entering the native Andean Patagonian forest, the ascent begins, where steep slopes are combined with flat sections. The terrain is mountainous, so depending on the weather there may be mud, snow or the trail may be dry. The forest tells us the story of axemen who decades ago exploited the place and its resources. The climb lasts 2:30 hours and it is important to maintain a constant pace.
