The historic Bruckmann Brewery complex in Cincinnati stands as one of the most intact 19th-century brewery sites in the nation. Brewing operations commenced here in 1856 and continued for almost a century. Many key structures of the brewery remain, including the brewhouse, malthouse, bottling building, stables, family residence, power plant, and the underground lagering cellars. After brewing activities ended in 1950, much of the site was adapted for other uses, such as the Fountain Winery in the 1970s and the headquarters and production facility for the Worthmore Food Products Company, known for their Cincinnati-style chili and mock turtle soup.
