Machu Picchu - The eagerly anticipated day to explore one of the 7 Wonders of the World. Begin the journey at Ollantaytambo station. Depart on the chosen train and arrive at Machu Picchu station. Our staff will assist in boarding the bus that ascends a winding road, offering a breathtaking view of the Urubamba River, which carves a deep canyon. The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, welcomes visitors with its remarkable terraces, staircases, ceremonial sites, and urban areas. The entire site radiates energy. Enjoy lunch. At the scheduled time, return by train and transfer to the hotel in Cusco.
Day 2: Vinicunca, the Rainbow Mountain.
Vinicunca Mountain - Set off on an unforgettable journey to Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca). Depart early in the morning by van, traveling south through the Valle Sur to reach the village of Cusipata, where breakfast will be served. Then, begin the ascent on a dirt road through the community, reaching an altitude of 4,800 m.a.s.l. From this point, embark on a 4 km hike, with breathtaking views of the Ausangate mountain range in the distance. Along the way, the guide will offer valuable advice on walking at high altitudes. As the hike progresses, the vibrant, multi-colored mountain range gradually unveils itself, culminating in a stunning view from the observation point at 5,000 m.a.s.l. The geological formations of Vinicunca are truly spectacular and a must-see on any trip to Peru. Enjoy free time to capture photos and absorb the scenery. Afterward, descend along the same path, board the vehicle, and return to Cusipata for lunch. Finally, head back to Cusco.
