Wow wow wow - What an incredible afternoon on Tuesday 14th October. The crew were incredible. The captain was a superb ‘spotter’ and motored across the bay to see whales. We saw mothers with calves, dolphins, hammer head sharks ( very rare sighting) many males including a group of 8! and tuna jumping in front of our boat. The lady guide had superb knowledge and the whole crew were super friendly. Two weeks earlier we had done the ‘same’ trip with another company - what a difference. Tasman ventures were head and shoulders better. I wish I’d read some reviews before I booked. I just went on a google search. Thanks Tasman for a fabulous afternoon 🐳

Whale of a time - Amazing. Huge thanks to the whales that put on a show and the weather gods, but it couldn’t have been done without the team at Tasman Venture. Excellent commentary and vibrant staff made a great day even better.

Great for photographers! - I had such a great time on this tour that I booked again for the next day! The staff were lovely and knowledgeable and the boat was fast. As a (very) amateur photographer, I loved how you can walk around the whole outside of the boat and photograph the whales without any windows in the way. There was plenty of room too so no need to squeeze through other passengers to get the shot! Tasman Venture made my first trip to the whale watching capitol fantastic and when I visit again, I'll be using this company.

Whales a plenty - What a brilliant morning, picked up promptly from our accommodation and then delivered to the boat, a short wait before we set sail. The staff were all friendly and informative, doing everything they could to make our cruise the best. Out of their control but on our side was the weather, not too hot and a slight breeze. The sea was as calm as a mill pond. The Guide was extremely knowledgeable and informative as well as passionate about her subject. Snacks on the way out and the way back were a nice touch and welcome. Being the end of the season we had our fingers crossed and we were able to see several pods with some being playful and coming right up to the boat. A big thank you to Jodie and the skipper who insisted on assisting me back to the transport after a pre-existing knee injury reared its head onboard.

Fantastic - Great tour and friendly staff. We did the afternoon tour (05.10.25) and saw many whales. Having a boat where you can walk around the whole outside was the best part. The staff were informative and so friendly. Nice coffee and snacks for the cruise. 100% recommend.

A stand out experience - Absolutely amazing experience! We passed another operator’s overcrowded, packed-to-the-brim boat on the way, so stepping onto this spacious, comfortable, modern vessel was such a relief. Plenty of room to move, not overcrowded at all, great visibility, and the commentary was top-notch.

Awesome staff, great trip - We were recommended this tour by a friend, and we were absolutely stoked with our experience. It was an overcast windy weekend, I was anxious about sea sickness. The crew looked after us all very well, and were super helpful and friendly. No sea sickness and even better so many whales!!! One even swam under the boat. Even with a bit of rain, there was enough shelter for all onboard. Our kids are 7 and 13. Highly recommended
