As we trek through the lush rainforest and along the picturesque Celeste River, you will bear witness to one of nature’s rarest and most beautiful spectacles that can only be experienced in a handful of places around the globe; a freshwater river converging with a volcanic-mineral river, resulting in a breathtaking turquoise hue.
After soaking in the beauty of the secluded waterfall, considered one of Costa Rica’s best-kept secrets, we will carry on our journey towards the Teñideros sector, rewarding us with a stunning view of the Tenorio Volcano & Cerro Montezuma. Since swimming is not permitted in the national park’s protected areas, we will guide you to a local natural pool in the Celeste river for a dip in the vivid turquoise waters. Post-swim, we will make a stop at an awe-inspiring hidden gem known locally as Arbol de la Paz or the ‘Ceiba Pentandra tree’, towering at over 150ft tall. A traditional Costa Rican lunch will follow, and as we head back, we have a surprise stop planned to appreciate some additional local wildlife.
