• New River - Enjoy a family-friendly adventure suitable for ages 5 and up on the stunning Upper New River, surrounded by national park landscapes. This trip is perfect for children, offering opportunities to swim and play in the water. Experience Class I and II rapids, with a lunch break on the river, guided by an experienced raft guide who will tailor the trip to your needs.

Begin your day by checking in at our BaseCamp and meeting your Guide. We will address any questions you may have and equip everyone in your group with a paddle, PFD (flotation/lifejacket), and helmet. During the brief bus ride to the river, we will cover basic safety instructions and entertain you with our best jokes - extra points if you laugh!

Once at the river, you’ll join your group in a raft with your Guide. After settling in, you’ll leisurely float down the river, enjoying the soothing ripples and mild rapids. The national forest scenery is breathtaking, featuring remnants of old coal mining operations nestled in majestic mountains and rock formations, as well as birds of prey, water birds, and even bald eagles. Keep an eye out for the occasional train that still travels through the hills of the New River Gorge.
