Fabulous tour of the Island - A really great tour and we managed to see a lot of the Island and appreciate its beauty. Ricky was our guide for the day and was so informative and helpful and explained so much about the history of Barbados. We had a complimentary punch and a delicious lunch was included too. Highly recommend the tour!

Informative & fun. - We were taken on an island tour by our driver Ricky during our first trip to Barbados. Ricky was great, and managed to maintain professionalism, sharing his vast historical knowledge of the island, while making us feel as though we had been friends for years. We had requested in advance that we could be returned to our hotel for a certain time in order to make a football match, and Ricky obliged to this without feeling like we missed out on any parts of the tour. The tour included traditional Bajan lunch at a locally ran restaurant, with supporting local businesses appearing to be a theme throughout the day (which is a huge positive). Would reccomend to any first time visitors to the island, or anyone who has not ventured to see the impressive north - east coast line, and any history buffs.

Tour around the island - I took the Coast to Coast tour of Barbados with RCR Tours. We circled the island in a small van. After driving through Bridgetown, we passed Rihanna's childhood home. The street was named after her in 2017. We then drove to Speightstown, the original capital of Barbados and had 15 minutes to walk around. Our next stop was Animal Flower Cave, at the northern end of the island. I took the optional walking tour inside the cave. We stopped for lunch at a cafe on the East coast. All eight of us in the van ordered the flying fish, a Bajan specialty. It was tasty. The East Coast is more rugged than the West Coast since the trade winds batter that side. There are places where swimming is too dangerous and others where surfing is good, such as Bathsheba. Our last stop was the historic St. John's Parish Church, originally built in 1645, but rebuilt most recently in 1836. It was a good way to the island.
