Fun and authentic cooking! - We had a fantastic time cooking authentic Sri Lankan cuisine with super fresh ingredients in a lovely setting. Susanthi is very warm and friendly and certainly knows her food no measuring or timers here!! We cooked 5 dishes and then settled to tuck into a feast. I certainly recommend this for a fun and health morning!!

Special experience 10/10 - We had such a special few hours with Susanthi and her family, the experience was one of our favourite whilst here in Sri Lanka. We first saw the cooking class mentioned on YouTube and it was on our list for when visiting Galle & Unawatuna. It did not disappoint. We felt like a part of the family from when we were warmly welcomed and travelled to the market, hearing stories from a local point of view whilst discovering the best pickings of the vegetables and fish. It was surprisingly quick and easy to create the most incredible dishes, we got our hands stuck in, and we are really looking forward to recreating these again at home (armed with some secret recipes). The flavours were unreal and Susanthi has great patience and knowledge. Who would have thought the best curry we ate in Sri Lanka was one we helped to cook?!

Amazing Authentic Sri Lanka Food experience! - An absolute must try if you are in Galle or Unawatuna! We booked this authentic cooking experience with Sushanti to get an authentic feel and taste of the best local dishes of Sri Lanka and it absolutely didn’t disappoint! First, we went to the Galle Fort Fish Market to view and choose the fresh fish on display to cook with and then headed to the vegetable market to choose the ingredients needed for the several dishes that we would prepare. The cooking class in itself is nearly a two hour experience and we prepared several Sri Lankan dishes such as Daal Curry, Pumpkin Curry, Sweet Potato Curry, Long Bean Curry, Aubergine Salad and a fresh Barracuda fish curry! The food was incredibly tasty and wholesome and Sushanti and her family are the most welcoming family you will come across! Absolutely worth it if you have 3-4 hours of your time to spare. They also have a restaurant named Sea Waves Restaurant and it is reopening on 15th July so please check it out!

A must do when visiting Unawatuna - Susanthi and her daughter are the most friendly, sweet and delightful hosts and will guarantee an amazing atmosphere, delicious traditional Sri Lankan food and an unique experience. This cooking class really is a MUST DO! Also: their restaurant opens again next week (15th of July). If you don’t have time for a cooking class, at least go try the amazing food they make. You won’t regret it!

Very nice cooking experience - It was very nice to visit the fish and vegetable market. She knew a lot about the fish freshness and vegetable taste. Then, we went to the cooking class. It was very fun to learn how to make a traditional curry. We made 4 different kinds of curry. The pumpkin curry was the best! PS: she has the cutest toddler and puppy ever😍
