Excellent way to enjoy great Umbrian Wines at your convenience saving you the time from driving from winery to winery!! - Francesca was very proactive and engaging on What's App in advance of the booking to gather information to tailor our tasting experience for us. My wife, in her older years, has developed an intolerance of red wines and knowing the Umbria region is known for their red wines, tasting the Sangrantino wine is a must, I let Francesca know of all of this and she put together a beautiful tasting of 1 sparkline, 2 white, and 2 red wines for us (including the Sangrantino). We flew into Florence, Italy in celebration of a Milestone Birthday of mine where we spent 4 nights before renting a car to drive down to Montepulciano where we stayed for 2 nights and did some Brunello wine tasting in Montalcino before we drove to Perugia for 3 nights. It literally took us a full day to visit 2 wineries in Montalcino from Montepulciano. While in Perugia we looked a another Viator Full day tour that took you to 2 different wineries in Umbria but luckily it was unavailable on the day we were available for it as we then saw Francesca's Private Wine Tasting experience which brought the wines of Umbria to your location and booked it. Perugia is a beautiful Medieval town which makes world famous chocolate so it was nice saving the driving time or being on a full day tour of 2 wineries to spend exploring the town instead. The tour advertises as coming to your vacation home or villa but is not limited to that, we stayed in a hotel in Perugia and Francesca worked to pick a place to host us. Initially it was going to be at an shop that sells artwork but they were closed on the day so she arranged for the tasting directly at our hotel's breakfast room which we had all to ourselves. It turned out that the hotel's breakfast room had lots of artwork on the walls and ceiling and we were even able to open up the balcony to enjoy the outside breeze and views from. Although Francesca was tied up at another major event on the day she sent a couple of her colleagues for the private tasting and they were wonderful. Our tasting include 5 wines with unlimited snacks galore. I believe the 5 wines were from 3 different wineries, and with Francesca being a Sommelier they were all impeccable wines. My favorite of course was the Sangrantino, I wasn't sure what to expect as this wine was originally only made as a desert wine due to it's high acidity and tannin but then they figured out that with aging the wine 8-10 years it softened and turned into a beautiful full bodied well structured wine with rich ripe red and blackberry fruit, earthy and balanced with good acidity and tannins. IMO it's like a very good Napa Cabernet Sauvignon wine. Now the best part was the beautiful unexpected surprise that Francesca had arranged knowing I was there in celebration of a milestone birthday. At the end of the tasting her staff appeared from the other room with a 375ml bottle of the Sangrantino dessert wine with a live sparkler lit in celebration of my Birthday. What a great way to end a tasting and a wonderful opportunity for me to taste the Sangrantino desert wine as an evolution of the wine over the years from being only a desert wine to a full bodied well structured complex wine. One last thing to mention is that they actually bring bottles that you can purchase after the tasting, unfortunately they didn't have any of the Sangrantino wine to purchase but they did have the 2022 Rosso Vulcano (Merlot from Villa Bucher SRL) and the 2024 Macinaia (White wine from Conti Salvatori) which I purchased for only 31 Euros in cash. That's a steal for such great wines IMO. They didn't have a way to pay with card so if you're thinking of buying any of their bottles from the tasting you will want to make sure to have cash. They did offer to arrange payment with Francesca afterwards if desired but I paid in cash. Overall a very wonderful 5+ star experience, if I'm ever back to Umbria I would choose booking this experience with Francesca again and I'm sure I'd get a different variety of excellent wines from Umbria.

Unique experience! - During our holiday, we had the pleasure of living a very special experience: a wine tasting directly in the villa where we were staying! Francesca took care of every detail with great professionalism and passion, making the whole evening unforgettable. We were a nice group of friends, some wine enthusiasts, others novices, yet we all felt involved and at ease, thanks to the way Francesca was able to tell the wines and the territory with competence and warmth. We tasted authentic Umbrian labels, hard to find elsewhere... we also asked to add a platter of typical cold cuts and cheeses not included in the initial package and she met all our requests! (the food was also delicious) Comfortable and impeccable Service: Francesca brought everything she needed and was able to create a relaxed and convivial atmosphere I highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to discover the Umbria of wine in an authentic way and without having to move: a real pearl of our holiday!

Convenient, personalised and professional wine tasting brought to your villa! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Francesca and her colleagues came by our Villa to facilitate a wine tasting during our family holiday. We were 15 people, that rarely gets to do a wine tasting together, because someone has to stay back and watch and the kids when visiting wine farms (and someone has to drive 😉 ). So having Francesca and team bring it to the Villa turned out brilliant! Beforehand, we messaged back and forth, where Francesca inquired about preferences and set up. We asked for local Umbria wines that we would not easily get hold of ourselves- and Francesca really came through! Professional set up, local stories, great wines and a personalised touch, which was highly engaging. Everything was taken care of by Francesca and team, so all we had to do was show up at our table, and enjoy the wine tasting. I can highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting the Umbria region, who wants the convenience of bringing the wine tasting home to the villa you are staying in!

Wonderful experience! - With some friends we had the pleasure of enjoying in complete relaxation a wonderful Villa and the care and, above all, skill of Francesca. A tasting organized in detail that made us know the wine-growing Umbria at 360 °. Francesca proved to be a true Pro, passionate about her work and able to make winelovers and wine novices feel at ease. To repeat 🍷

Unforgettable experience - a must try! - We had the pleasure of participating in this wine tasting, and it was undoubtedly the icing on the cake of our trip to Umbria. Francesca was very prepared and you could see how passionate she is about her work. The wines we tasted were very good (we only asked for Umbrian wines), from fresh whites to full-bodied reds, accompanied by delicious local products such as cheeses and cold cuts (Norcia is nearby, after all!!). Tasting carried out partially in Italian and partially in English because some of our friends were not Italian. Super helpful to organize the tasting at the Villa where our friends stayed, she literally brings everything! Five stars deserved!
