Gorilla Tracking Day
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Begin the day with breakfast at 7:00 am, then head to the Uganda Wildlife Authority for a briefing on the dos and don’ts when encountering gorillas, along with delightful entertainment from the Bwindi Women’s Club. Next, you’ll be divided into groups for tracking in their natural habitats.
Set off for gorilla tracking, spending approximately 3 hours in total, with 1 hour spent with the gorillas once they are located. Return to the Uganda Wildlife Authority headquarters to receive a certificate of recognition for participating in this unique activity, then proceed to your booked hotel for some rest. Later, you may choose to embark on an evening cultural tour to visit the bushmen who once lived with gorillas in the forest and learn about their hunting methods. Additionally, discover how to make coffee locally, from the garden to the cup, as well as banana beer, banana juice, and banana gin, providing an authentic experience of the local culture around Bwindi Forest.
Transfer to Entebbe Airport or Kigali, Rwanda
Equator Entebbe - Rise at 7:00 am, enjoy breakfast, and proceed to Entebbe International Airport with a quick picnic lunch at the Equator and an opportunity to shop for loved ones at home. Alternatively, flying from Kigali, Rwanda, is an option as it is the closest airport to Bwindi.
This marks the end of your 3-day gorilla tracking adventure in Uganda. Best of luck!
