Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Rise early for breakfast at approximately 5:30 am, collect your packed lunch, and head to the meeting point. A park ranger will organize and assign you to a group of eight people for gorilla tracking. Venture into the forest to observe these gentle giants. After spending about an hour with the Mountain Gorillas, return for snacks and refreshments, and prepare for the journey back to Kigali.

The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is a vast ancient forest situated in southwestern Uganda, within the Kanungu District. It lies on the edge of the Albertine Rift, the western branch of the East African Rift, with elevations ranging from 1,160 to 2,607 meters.

The forest is home to approximately 160 tree species, over 100 fern species, and numerous butterflies.

The Bwindi forest is believed to be a remnant of a large forest that once spanned most of Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
