Banyuwangi - The journey from Bali to Ijen Crater begins at 10:00 AM (Balinese timezone). Our staff will collect you from your hotel in Ubud, Bali. The drive from Ubud to Gilimanuk Ferry Port will take approximately 4-5 hours. Upon arrival at Gilimanuk Ferry Port, you will board a ferry for about an hour to reach Ketapang Ferry Port on the Java side. Afterward, we will take you to a local restaurant for lunch before continuing to your hotel in the Banyuwangi area for a comfortable stay before your Mount Ijen Midnight Tour.

Mount Ijen Blue Fire Tour - Transfer to Mount Bromo area

Ijen Crater - The tour starts at 1:00 am from your hotel in Banyuwangi, with a journey of about an hour to the Paltuding area, the starting point for the hike to Ijen Crater. The hike from Paltuding to the peak of Ijen Crater takes about 1.5 – 2 hours, depending on your fitness level. To reach the blue fire point, you need to descend into the crater, which is the most dangerous part of the trip. Please always follow our guide’s instructions. It takes about 30-40 minutes to reach the blue fire point.

NOTE: Please bring your luggage as we will head directly to the Mount Bromo area after the Ijen Tour. You will not be allowed to stay long at the blue fire point due to the presence of poisonous gas. After witnessing the blue fire phenomenon, you will be guided to a viewpoint where you can see the entire sulfuric lake of Ijen Crater, one of the largest sulfuric lakes in Indonesia, with a stunning turquoise color. It is a great spot for photos. Around 7:00 am, we will return to the Paltuding area for breakfast and some relaxation before heading to Mount Bromo, which is about 5-6 hours away.

Mount Bromo Sunrise Tour - Transfer to Surabaya area (tour is finished)

Mount Bromo - The tour begins at 3:30 am from your hotel in the Mount Bromo area. We will use a jeep to navigate the steep and bumpy roads. The drive from the hotel/homestay to the sunrise point (Kingkong Hill) takes about 40 minutes. The sunrise is at approximately 5:20 am, and your guide will help you find the best spot. The view is spectacular, with Mount Bromo, Mount Semeru, Mount Batok, and the surrounding village all in one frame, making for a picturesque photo. After enjoying the sunrise, we will return to our jeep and head to the Sea of Sand for a jeep cruise before trekking to the peak of Mount Bromo. Taking a photo with the jeep is a must. The trek to the peak of Mount Bromo takes about 45 minutes. The path is good but dusty, and there may be horse droppings, so please cover your nose and face with a mask and sunglasses. At the peak, you will see the crater of the active Mount Bromo volcano. Due to the strong gases, you will not be allowed to stay long. Please follow the guide’s instructions. Around 8:30 am, we will return to the jeep and drive back to the hotel for breakfast, a shower, and packing before driving 3-4 hours to the Surabaya area (Airport, Hotel, Train Station).

This three-day tour commences from Ubud, Bali, taking us to visit both Ijen Crater/Mount Ijen and Mount Bromo. This adventure is particularly appealing to those passionate about outdoor activities, like hiking, trekking, or capturing stunning landscape photographs. Our base will be Banyuwangi town, an ideal location before trekking to the Ijen Crater and prior to our visit to Mount Bromo. For our Bromo tour, we will stay in Cemoro Village, which is the nearest village to the Mt. Bromo region. We will eventually drop you off in the Surabaya area (hotels, train station, or airport).

• Update of Ijen Crater: We are excited to inform you that Ijen Crater is now open to the public again! Visitors can enjoy the stunning beauty of the crater, including the world-famous blue fire phenomenon, which is now visible from a distance of 500 meters for safety reasons. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, please adhere to the following guidelines: 1. Follow designated paths and safety instructions. 2. Use protective masks due to the presence of sulfuric gases.
• For the last day, if you want to go back to Bali again after the trip, there will be additional cost 850.000 IDR, please let us know earlier so we can organize the transfer.
