An Instructive and Pleasurable walk around Newcastle - I had a great time (as it happened, I was the entire group that day), and came away with a strong sense that Newcastle is a fascinating city. My guide, Martin Stait, was a veritable fountain of knowledge! And the sunny weather helped. Strongly recommended.

Great city, fantastic tour - This tour was fantastic - I am a big fan of city tours and this one was one of the best I have done. This is mainly down to the guide who was very knowledgable about the city its history, its culture and its people - as well as being a good guy, with an easy manner and a sense of humour, who was good company for the 3 hours. The other star show was the city which surprised me profoundly. I have been to most of England's cities, and Newcastle is now my new favourite, after London. A vibrant city of culture, a plethora of bars, restaurants, theatres, art galleries, music venues - friendly people - but also a fascinating history. Elegant Georgian architecture, grand parades, historic markets and a spectacular waterfront punctuated with bridges. So much to experience. Strongly recommended.

Perfect Way to Meet Newcastle - We had one day in Newcastle and wanted to make sure we made the most of it…a walking tour seemed the best way to see the city.
We spent three hours with Martin exploring the history and recent developments in Newcastle, visiting sites such as the wall, Chinatown, Grey Monument, St Andrew’s church, the bridges over the Tyne, old markets, new squares, and of course the castle itself.
Martin even helped us find a couple of places where we wanted to make some purchases, which was very kind of him.
It was a great way to spend three hours.

Excellent walking tour of Newcastle with Martin. - My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this walking tour of Newcastle with Martin. We learned a great deal about the history of Newcastle and visited places that we were not aware were there! Martin was very knowledgeable and friendly. I did worry that 3 hours may have been a little too long but the time absolutely flew by and in actual fact there was not a massive amount of walking because everything in Newcastle is quite compact and the places of interest are pretty close together. I would highly recommend this tour.

A very nice walk with a amicable person - I had a great tour with Martin trough Newcastle. Lucky to be in a small group of only 3 people, plus Martin as a guide. His knowledge of the city, the historical facts was excellent; a tsunami of information. Whatever you want to know about Newcastle, it will definitely in there. Very nice walk, with a likewise nice person. Thank you Martin.
