Wonderful trip - Enjoyed this trip very much. Max was a great guide and everything well organised. Interesting to see something of the countryside on the drive to the mountain and wonderful views up the top. Nice also to escape the heat . I loved the black lady statue and the Buddha with fountain display. The cable car and whole facility is almost brand new and beautifully done with several restaurants and some shops and clean restrooms. Also enjoyed the temple visit and then on to the tunnels which was a wonderful if sad experience. I passed on getting into the little manholes as feared would not make it out again but managed down the first level of several bunkers without too much difficulty. Very distressing to see something of the booby traps but gained some understanding of how awful it must have been for everyone involved in awful war.

Our guide, Max, was just... - Our guide, Max, was just amazing! He was so knowledgeable and eager to explain the history of the Black Virgin mountain. He took incredible care of us while we were with him. This is not a place many Westerners ever go to, but I highly recommend it and the views of Vietnam & Cambodia are stunning! The Cai Dao temple was a stunning wonder! I was not expecting all the beautiful carvings and vibrant colors!! Our visit to the Cu Chi tunnels was a true highlight of our adventure. Being old enough to remember the Vietnam war was and to see firsthand what our G.I's experienced in the jungles of this region was just an incredible and moving experience. This adventure is a long day and how our driver maneuvered in the heavy traffic was a marvel in itself!!!! I can recommend this tour, or Max as a guide, highly enough!!!

Great Concise Look into Vietnamese History and Culture - I highly recommend this tour for a comprehensive look at the history of the Vietnam War—referred to in Vietnam as the American War—as well as the surrounding cultural and historical sites. The tour begins with a relaxing trip to the stunning Black Virgin Mountain, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of Buddha statues, the Vietnamese countryside, and even the distant Cambodian border. Next is a visit to the Cao Đài Temple, offering a fascinating insight into the unique and colorful religion of Caodaism. The final stop is the Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredibly interesting yet slightly physically demanding experience. Throughout the tour, my guide Max was exceptionally attentive, providing deep historical insights that enriched the experience. His knowledge and enthusiasm made a real difference. Overall, this tour is a fantastic way to explore Vietnam’s history and culture, with the added benefit of highly knowledgeable and helpful guides!

A good place to visit with Tour Guide Max - Went on this trip with my mum. She is in her seventies and we had a great time on the mountains and Chu Chi tunnels. This trip was made even better with our tour guide Max, as he shares with us the history of Vietnam and the places we have visited.

Incredible experience!!!! Must see!! - It was truly an amazing day! The black virgin mountain was absolutely breathtaking. Superbly fantastic to see. The cable car ride was cool and the view was stunning. The gardens and architecture of the temple was extraordinary. The water show at the Buddha was a sight to see. The Cao Dai temple was very impressive the architecture and paint was so surreal. The colors were so vibrant and almost seemed as if my eyes were deceiving me. The Cu Chi tunnels was a freaking awesome experience. It truly gave a very great appreciation for what soldiers on both sides of the war had to go through. The Vietnamese soldiers were extremely resilient, resourceful and tactical. As a history major in undergrad it was an incredible learning experience. I will never forget this. What made the entire experience 100% better was the absolutely fantastic tour guide we had! Bin was extremely knowledgeable and had answers to every single question we asked. He even gave us background to things we didn’t ask and would explain the history of different parts of HCMC as we drove through to our various stops. He is a very very very good tour guide. If you have the chance to go on a tour, I highly recommend requesting him. He was exceptional and he added considerable value to the tour and our experience. Last but not least was our driver, Lucky! He was awesome! He drove so well and we never felt in any danger. He was very good driver and navigated the busy streets of HCMC like a true driving professional. Both were so patient as they waited and never rushed us through the tour. We were lucky to have Lucky and Bin as our driver and tour guide! 10 out of 10. 5 stars would recommend to anyone.
