Educational Entertaining Experience - Unique one of its kind Maori cultural dinner experience. Maori tribe made this really special in their generously warm welcome offering reverence, learning hubs sharing dimensions of cultural traditions, nourishing foods from the earth, and Maori family's energy, talented gifts, and making everyone feel the love. Thank you so much for sharing your culture and traditions!!

A perfect Māori evening - I loved my evening at Te Pa Tu so so much! Everyone and everything was beautiful, delicious and so special. To me, it felt that I was a guest at the most beautiful Māori wedding, where I had the opportunity to witness family, love, traditions, the most amazing food, music and dance. I could not recommend this experience more.

Great entertainment - From the beginning it was entertaining. Bus ride to the village, opening ceremony, Māori activities, hangi explanation, dinner and entertainment during dinner, Māori rep joining us for dinner, conversation with dinner guests, and bus ride back. Start to finish we enjoyed all moments.

Experiencing the Maori Culturea - Te Pa Tu provides a window into the Maori Culture through the use of authentic activities, foods, stories, and music. During our meal, the individuals who were sharing their culture with us joined us at the tables. This was a wonderful and unique opportunity to spend time and learn about the culture in an informal and personal way. It was our favorite part of the experience. Highly Recommend!

Fantastic time - My wife and had a fantastic night on the Māori cultural experience with dinner. We had an insight into Māori culture and custom with performance dances and a 4 course fusion feast. The Māori hosts so friendly and very talented with the singing and dancing and the food was so good. If in Rotorua New Zealand this is a must do

A Soul-Stirring Winter Solstice at Te Pā Tū - I had the absolute privilege of experiencing the Winter Solstice celebration at Te Pā Tū – and it was nothing short of extraordinary. The evening began with a powerful fire ceremony that genuinely moved me. It set the tone for what would be a deeply enriching and soulful night. From there, we journeyed into the Tawa forest, where we shared laughter and learning through traditional games and storytelling, all while enjoying exquisite canapés under the canopy of trees. The hāngī pit and fire grill demonstration was fascinating, offering a deeper appreciation for the kai we were about to enjoy. And what a feast it was! The three-course dinner was generous and beautifully prepared – highlights included the melt-in-your-mouth lamb shank, the confit duck and pork, crisp fresh salads, and the heavenly steamed pudding with warm custard and cream. Every bite was a celebration of Aotearoa’s flavours. To round off the evening, a moving performance by Chief Jamus and his whānau brought the entire experience together with warmth, mana, and aroha. As someone born and bred in Rotorua, I left feeling incredibly proud. Te Pā Tū captured the essence of our whenua and culture with such authenticity and care – it was done so right. This wasn’t just a dinner – it was a cultural journey, a connection to the land and its stories, and a night that will stay with me forever. Ngā mihi nui to the Te Pā Tū team for an unforgettable solstice experience.

My cultural experience in Te Pa Tu - The experience was unique, we got to do activities the Maori way, we learned their customs and we also learned how they live. There was a show during the dinner which was lively and interesting. We were able to talk to the performers during dinner. The food was delicious. I enjoyed this very much.
