Incredible Tulum Tour with Stunning Cenote and Snorkeling at Yal Kú - We had an incredible experience on the Tulum, Yal Kú, and cenote tour with Cancun Adventures—truly one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide, Mario (“Gato”), was fantastic. He struck the perfect balance of being knowledgeable, organized, and genuinely fun. You could tell he really cared about making sure everyone had a great time, and he kept the day running smoothly without it ever feeling rushed. The cenote was absolutely breathtaking. Swimming in an underground cave like that felt almost surreal—crystal-clear water, dramatic rock formations, and such a peaceful atmosphere. It was easily one of the most unique and memorable experiences we’ve ever had. The snorkeling at Yal Kú was just as impressive. There were so many fish, and the water was calm and easy to navigate, making it enjoyable whether you’re experienced or newer to snorkeling. It felt like swimming in a natural aquarium. Tulum itself was also fantastic—such a beautiful and historically rich place, with stunning views that are hard to beat. To top it all off, the beachside lunch was delicious and the perfect way to relax and recharge after a full day of exploring. Overall, this tour was exceptionally well put together, with a great mix of adventure, nature, and culture. Highly recommend—especially if you get Mario as your guide!

Made me feel comfortable.was able to snorkel and see lots of fish. Even when I got lost he waited and found me. Gato was full of knowledge. Learned new items today. And the food omg!! So tasty and filling. Coffee was yummy as was the hibiscus iced tea. Definitely a great experience!

Everything was clearly... - Everything was clearly communicated as far as what to expect. I enjoyed the sharing of history and facts by the tour guide both en route and during the stops. The tour moves quickly, but I do also feel we had adequate time at each stop.

Great family experience- highly recommend - This was absolutely great. There was a very good ratio of guides to travelers. Two groups totaling 12 people had a dedicated guide and driver. My kids are 9, 10 and 17 and this was absolutely perfect for everyone. The only thing to be aware of is that you cannot take pictures in the cenote, which is very unfortunate. The company has a dedicated photographer and they sell very expensive and inflexible packages unfortunately. It’s not a huge deal, but it’s better if you know beforehand.

Amazing experience with Cancun Adventures and Gato - Amazing our guide was the best I have ever had. He helped my wife with both the cenote and snorkeling even though she doesn’t swim. He’s a great guide and I would seek him out again

Heavy Mayan spiritual influence, and uncomfortable - Paula was our tour guide. She was very friendly, respectful and knowledgeable (mostly, I will explain). Tulum: We expected to learn about the Mayan culture in the Ruins portion but it became very graphic into the descriptions of what was a sadistic barbarian culture. My 11 year old kept saying he wasn’t comfortable hearing about self torture and the methods of blood sacrifices etc so a couple of times we walked away from our group and tried to distract ourselves. It was also extremely humid before noon in April which made it intense. I was hoping when we left the ruin to snorkel we could leave the “gods” talk (or most of it) behind us. But on the way to the cenote in the van (which was crowded with other hotel guests, not what our hotel agency described) - the descriptions of Mayan beliefs about Gods continued and we were told we needed to purify ourselves before entering the cenote by asking permission from the Mayan family who owned the land. They’d arranged for a local Shaman to perform a purification ceremony before entering on us. To Christians and Catholics this is in violation to our beliefs. We declined this portion of the tour and were told to stand away from the group by the lockers so naturally we felt excluded. I accompanied my kids down to the cenote to make sure they were safe but again the descriptions of sacrifices and other heavens, and being in the mouth of the monster continued. When swimming into the deepest darkest cave the guide asked if she could turn the light out as a spiritual exercise and I said No, pointing at my 11 year old. She did it anyway and for too long. I kept thinking none of this was part of the description of the tour. We only wanted the adventure, a bit of history, the fun, and a focus on the archaeological marvels. I asked our guide what we were getting into with the next portion of the trip - luckily swimming with turtles was all very light hearted and the beach club was beautiful. I would only recommend this tour if what I’ve described is all comfortable to you but again for people with a particular set of beliefs it was stomach turning, and my kids are still somewhat traumatized. Again Paula was nice and she did her best to be an informative guide - I’m not sure if this is a typical format of the tour or if each guide brings their own flair but felt I needed to leave this review.

Do not recommend staff is rude. - Poor! Unprofessional staff. Very rude. I went to travel with family and the male with the long a Hair told us if you couldn’t do some stuff should have never booked. Keep in mind my family wanted to do the excursions I however only wanted to tag along. But it was a bother to them even though I paid for it.
