Absolutely Incredible Tour! - Definitely some of the best birding of my life - I had high hopes and expectations for this tour, but it still exceeded them! My guide, Claudio, was very friendly and accommodating to the specific species I wanted to see. He was also extremely knowledgeable and able to answer all of my questions. I thoroughly enjoyed every stop we made - adding spectacular birds to our long list throughout the day, seeing beautiful sights, eating delicious food, learning about Mayan culture, and sharing stories. All of the staff members that I interacted with were responsive, personable, and wonderful. If you are trying to decide whether to do one of these birdwatching tours, please do yourself a favor and book one right away! I’m confident that you will love it as much as I did!

Trip of a lifetime! - A trip of a lifetime! My husband and I took advantage of a private birding tour. Our guide, Miguel, not only helped us to increase our knowledge of Yucatán specialties, he was very knowledgeable about the cultural treasures of Coba and the overall natural environment, including geology, habitat, trends. We whole-heartedly recommend this tour!

Beautiful day of birding! - This was our second birding tour with Miguel. It was fabulous again. It was a slower birding day, but we still saw 41 species. Highlights were a group of Collared Aracari feasting on fruit in a tree, a northern Jacana with its giant toes, Ruddy Crakes, Purple Gallinule, Ocellated Turkeys, Black-headed Trogan, and Olive-throated parakeet. The Mayan ruins and explanation about the history were great. We did the Cenote add-on, and it was incredible. It was a beautiful cave-like Cenote with lots of steps down a spiral staircase, and a points where you could jump in, which was exhilarating. We learned so much and greatly enjoyed our day.

Amazing! Simply Amazing! - We did two days of birding tours during our stay in Tulum, one to Coba and one to Rio Lagartos. Our guide Claudio was absolutely awesome! He was incredibly knowledgeable and so diligent at finding the birds. We have had many birding guides in our travels, and Claudio is absolutely among the best.

Travel to Tulum in January - The birds were amazing. I saw so many for the first time. The most 'odd' looking one was the Plain Chachalaca. It looked like a mini turkey and clucked like a hen. Other first birds to see were; The Great Kiskadee, The tropical Mockingbird, A Yucatan Jay, A Mangrove Swallow, The Great Tailed Grackle, The Orange Oriole, and a Great Frigatebird. Some of the amazing animals I saw was the Coati. It looked like a cross between a raccoon, and a monkey. A big rodent called the Agouti, and many Iguana. Amazing trip to the Yucatan Peninsula.

Well ŵorth the experience - We took a private bird watching tour to the Coba ruins on 11 dec. It was well worth the adventure with Claudio hosting us. It was a turnkey experience from transportation, drinks/breakfast, supplying binoculars, along with numerous other historical / cultural nformation along besides the emphasis on nature. Claudio was quite adept at identifying birds and their habits and environment- we saw over 50 different species. We live in Texas and are avid birders. To note we idenitified multiple different species of warblers, orioles, jays, flycatchers, woodpeckers, and many others.

It Doesn't Get Better for Bird Enthusiasts - Wow! We all had high expectations for this private tour and birding expedition to Coba and Miguel exceeded them all! Our group of six had a mix of bird enthusiasts and not-so-birdy nature lovers. Miguel and his team from Amar Aves kept all of them entertained and happy. 41 species were identified and 25 new lifers for my wife and I. Standout sightings were: ocellated turkey, limpkin, pygmy-owl, black-headed trogon, and northern prula. A day to remember in the life of a birder! Thanks, Miguel!

Fantastic Birding Experience w/Miguel - We are a group of 4 couples - ranging from beginner to pretty darn advanced Birders. We enjoyed an exceptional day -- seeing more than 35 species and nearly all were new lifers. My best birding day ever - Bravo!! Most of our birding experience is in the Western USA - CA, OR, UT, and WA. Yucatan provides a wide range of new experiences; bird varieties, tropical forests, coastlines plus Mayan history and culture. I highly recommend spending a few weeks in this area. Also want to make a specific call out to our guide Miguel. He certainly knows birds - but he knows people and guiding even better. He is a wonderful guide, well prepared for every step, totally engaged with our group and he made our day together so totally enjoyable. Thank you, thank you, Miguel!!

Perfect morning in Coba - One of the best days I've had in Mexico. Miguel is super knowledgeable, kind and fun. The pace of the birding was perfect and I learned a lot more than a trip to simply tick birds. I'll be booking again with Miguel on my next trip.
