Additional Information
Our 2-hour city tour by coach will start at the cruise terminal (Pirbadet). We will head to Solsiden, a charming and vibrant district and we will see the colorful warehouses along the river Nid. Our tour will continue through the city center while passing the Hotel Britannia and the royal residence Stiftsgården. Leaving the city center, we will proceed uphill to the Sverresli viewpoint to enjoy Trondheim from above and witness the city’s charming skyline. We will make another stop at Kristiansten Fortress. After the devastating fire in 1681, the fortress was built in order to defend Trondheim. We continue on to our final stop, Nidaros Cathedral (Nidarosdomen). The cathedral was built in the 11th century. Additional work and renovations have continued since then. It is one of Scandinavia’s most stunning and grandiose cathedrals as well as the best well-preserved Gothic building in Northern Europe. Trondheim and Norway as a whole are very proud of this magnificent building.
- Please note that the bus will continue on time after the stops and cannot wait for any tardy participants. The departure times will be announced by the guide.
- This tour is based on the arrival and departure times of cruise ships. Modified departure times of the tour may change and will be communicated.
- Please leave a valid phone number (with the country code). In case of an invalid number, no refund can be granted.
- This tour requires a minimum of guests, in case there are not enough, a refund will be provided.
- The itinerary of the tour depends on weather and road conditions. In the case of a weather-related road restriction, an alternative tour will be organised.
- Please bring a child safety seat with you if you need one.
- The tour starts at Pirbadet parking lot. The bus will be parked there, it will have “Trondheim City Tours” logo in the windshield. The guide will wear a green jacket with “Trondheim City Tours” logo on the back.
- Please let us know on which cruise ship you will be arriving, if you are an individual traveler and if you are already in the city. This information is only a logistical interest to us.

Trondheim Tour - Was a bit nervous after reading previous reviews. We asked for help, but was able to easily locate the bus. The guide and driver were great. Loved hearing the details of the city.

Great city tour! - Our bus driver was very kind and very knowledgeable on the area and he was very helpful in planning the day. At every stop he walked with the group and offered information about each location which was much appreciated.

Cruise ship day trip. - Very good informative tour guide and driver, who took us around the city and to the main sites of interest and viewpoints.
Modern air-conditioned vehicle, in a small group made for an extremely pleasant experience.

A good way to see Trondheim - The city view from Byåsen (1st stop) was not spectacular. Kristiansten Fortress (2nd Stop) was more interesting. Nidaros Cathedral (3rd stop) was spectacular. From here, one can follow the bus back to starting point. However we joined the guide to walk back to the starting point, passing through some scenic sites. See photos.

not a trip to take! - first of all there was no bus, when the bus came there was no sign on the bus, the bus driver didn't had a clue what tour he was on. So we and a lot of other people were waiting in the freezing rain. at the end some other tour leader came and said this was our bus....
there was no tour guide. he came when everybody was on the bus. too late as well!
the tour was a 2 hour drive and 1 ½ hour walk which was never mentioned. I can't walk long distances so I would have never booked this tour in the first place!The tour guide's english was a mix of german and english, really bad! So no we didn't have a good experience!

Young Inexperienced Guides - Kept waiting stood outside the bus for 30 minutes.
Then complete chaos as the young guides struggled to check people in, split them across two coaches and let people board who arrived and pushed to the front of the people who'd been stood waiting patiently.
When the guide took us off the bus, she spoke to the 5 or so people stood in front of her and nobody else heard a word.
On our last stop the guide led us to the Cathedral, gave another quiet talk to the few stood in front of her and then told us she was taking us back to the bus. No time for external photos never mind inside the Cathedral.
A complete waste of our time and money.

Disappointed - My husband and I showed up 30 min ahead of schedule and couldn’t find one tour bus that says “city bus tour”. We waited 15 min past the tour time and finally left. I’m waiting to get a refund for this tour.
