Fantastic guide and a wonderful experience chasing the Northern Lights! - Harry was a wonderful guide - knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and extremely professional. He took care of everything and gave us a ton of information (from details on where we were going to the science behind the auroras!) His passion for photography and chasing the auroras was contagious - highly recommend!

Wonderful experience!! - We had planned this trip a couple months out and were disappointed when we looked at the forecast for Tromso, Norway and learned it would be overcast and raining. When I contacted the tour a couple days out we were happy to discover the tour was still on. Harry, our tour leader was very knowledgeable and passionate about the science of the Northern Lights and also a astro-photographer. One of the things he tried to convey to the group was to take in and enjoy the moment while viewing the Northern Lights. Our group was very enjoyable and were from all parts of the globe. We all bonded and shared stories around the campfire roasting reindeer hotdogs (vegetarian option available) and washing it down with hot chocolate or local tea. We had previously attempted 3 times to observe the Northern Lights in Iceland about 10 years ago and know how elusive they can be. We had been waiting for nearly 4 hours and were ready to pack up and head back when someone looked to the East with the moon shining and asked is that a cloud and the response when they viewed through the camera was Northern Lights. The group spent the next hour taking photos and Harry took long exposures of everyone. What seemed to be a disappointing night turned into an amazing wonderful experience. On the way back to the hotel we made a quick stop for more Northern Lights activity which topped off our night. Harry, our tour leader and Sebastian, our bus driver were wonderful host. Would do this tour again if the opportunity presented itself.

Amazing and lovely Aurora Trip - The experience was amazing. Due to bad weather conditions in Tromsö the driver and guide drove us to the border to Finnland to reach the clearest sky possible in order to have the best chances to see the Aurora. They nailed it and we were able to see the northern lights amazingly bright and through a clear sky. Our guide Harry explained everything about Aurora very well on our way and the driver drove us very safely. Harry the guide even uploaded all his pictures right after the return to Tromsö at 4am! Such a lovely atmosphere from driver and guide and an absolutely amazing trip

Worth it! - Truly enjoyed the experience. Our guide, Max, was knowledgeable and shared plenty of factual information about the Northern Lights. He was also considerate and took our individual pictures with his own camera and shared it with us. Truly a great time and worth the experience.

Wonderful experience - We were fortunate with good weather and great guides so we experienced the Northern Lights in a beautiful setting. Hermann gave a good explanation of factors needed for sighting as Carolina drove us to a spot away from Tromso and predicted weather patterns that might make it more difficult to see the lights. After a bathroom break, we arrived at a beach where the lights almost immediately started. Hermann helped with camera setup and clothes boots. It was abit challenging for us older folks as the beach was rocky but seeing the lights in this setting was magical. After over an hour the lights stopped. A campfire was set up where we had cookies hot drinks and roasted sausages. We were returned to the dock at around 1am. The next day, we received the photos from Hermann There was a problem with ours which took 2 days to get corrected but it was fixed and sent to us. Excursion was 100% as described on website. Yes, a charge for guides professional photos but the pricing of the excursion for us was excellent value for the experience we received. Well taken care by friendly experienced guides. Highly recommend.

Max and the team were very supportive and dedicated to chase the Aurora :) - I booked this tour via GetYourGuide online months before my arrival to Tromso. What I enjoyed about their tour was the small groups per van but there were multiple + vans from the same company that understandably were needed on the night. Our trip leader Max was very insightful and helped in not only taking photos of the group (individually and together) once we found the lights but the team also assisted those with cameras to take photos as well. Max was always communicating with other tour companies to ensure we were chasing in the right direction. A light dinner was provided around the fire - the famous Raketten sausages from the town centre- which we all cooked ourselves over the fire. Overalls were provided to be comfortable at night and highly recommended. Max was able to send through the photos he took to the group by morning of the following day- such dedication! I always recommend booking small group tours that are dedicated to drive for hours if needed to chase the lights and have a clear and reasonable cancellation policy.

Dangerous conditions; did not meet expectations - No bathroom facilities available for 6 plus hours because pick up place was in the open; several tour groups waiting so it was confusing. No flashlights for tourists to use from/to the van during night time conditions. Very dangerous to walk to the gathering place due to snow over rocky area where we finally settled. No way to get away from the elements other than go back to the van. I fell once (slipped on a rock) on the way to the meeting area. My husband fell 3 times on the way to the van for there was only one tour guide for 15 people and he was busy taking pictures. Tour guide offered to take and share pictures with us but link received was for reduced quality pictures. If higher resolution desired, one has to buy his pictures. Pictures also copyrighted. No mention of this when he offered to take pictures for us and share them or prior to taking the pictures of participants. Felt like a bait and switch technique after the fact. We did see the Northern Lights that evening. The van had issues with the passengers sliding door--several of us got trapped in the van until the driver came back about 15 minutes later. Prepared food not shared with passengers taking shelter in the van even though guide had stated they would bring it over. I had to use the "reindeer" toilet (outdoors; no porta-potty) and use my own tissue and sanitizer (none available).
