Rely on the extensive experience, local expertise, and exceptional photography of The Green Adventure Team. On the evening of the tour, guests will be picked up in front of Scandic Ishavshotel and embark on a comfortable journey in our minibus. Rely on the extensive experience, local expertise, and exceptional photography of The Green Adventure Team. On the evening of the tour, guests will be picked up in front of Scandic Ishavshotel and embark on a comfortable journey in our minibus. During the ride, the expedition leader will provide a brief introduction about the weather conditions, the likelihood of seeing the lights, and the chosen locations. The team always collaborates, staying in contact with other Aurora hunters to maximize the chances of success.
Once the ideal spot under clear skies is found, preparations for the spectacle will begin. A bonfire will be set up, offering the perfect opportunity to warm up with a hot drink and roast some delicious marshmallows. During this time, fascinating stories from the north and legends about Lady Aurora will be shared. Guests will also have the chance to taste “made in Tromso” soup, specially crafted for Arctic expeditions. After the tour, photos taken by the expedition leader will be provided to the guests.
- A current valid passport is required on the day of travel as we may travel into Finland

- Vegetarian and vegan option is available, please advise at time of booking if required. Also inform about allergies.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult. Minimum age 12 years old.
- Be aware that access to proper toilets in Norwegian wilderness is very limited, sometimes even impossible. We highly recommend to use any toilet before a tour, because in many spots we don’t have access to toilets during winter time.
- Please inform us also about your thermal suit sizes (the same like your winter jacket), so we will make sure that we have proper size ready for you on board.
- Tour is not suitable for cruise ship passengers, which are not staying overnight in Tromso. We do not guarantee that we will be back before cruise’s departure as our priority is to see the northern lights. Contact us to organize private tour as an alternative

Magical night, perfect experience - The Green Adventure – the name says it all. It is a Northern Lights tour operator based in Tromsø, and I highly recommend it if you want to chase the lights. My tour guide, Lukas, and our driver, Martin, were fantastic. Lukas is charismatic and entertaining, sharing valuable information about the aurora. He also helped us learn how to use tracking apps and set up our cameras and phones for photographing the night sky. As a professional photographer, he provided helpful tips.
We stopped at two different locations to make the most of the timing, capturing incredible photos of the aurora in all its glory. At the second stop, we set up a campfire where we enjoyed reindeer stew, hot chocolate, and marshmallows while the lights danced across the sky. It was a magical night that I will always treasure and a perfect night to remember and cherish!
I can *highly* recommend this tour, as everything was conducted in a professional and informative manner. Thank you, Lukas, Martin, and The Green Adventure, for helping make my dream come true!
If I ever have the opportunity to visit Tromsø again, I will happily join another tour with The Green Adventure.

Unforgettable Night of Aurora Borealis - This was as good as it gets! The night started off hot, with auroras showing up not long after we departed. Then after driving around for a bit, we set up camp on the shore and soon after, the sky lit up with auroras that just kept getting better and better. At one point it seemed as if the entire sky was covered by the dazzling lights. I understand we were really lucky, but sometimes you have to make your own luck and I think Kat did just that for us - putting us in the best possible position to be treated to a spectacular show. This is a night I will not soon forget!

A fantastic and unforgettable experience - We had a great time and recommend booking this tour for the Aurora hunt.
We leave from the center of Tromso by mini-bus and go in search of the aurora depending on the weather conditions; when we went to the city it was cloudy and we headed south, managing to capture a really spectacular aurora!
We had a great time with the guide (Adam) who is a professional photographer and is ready to give photographic advice.
Available during the trip: photos, thermal suit, biscuits and hot drink and soup in front of the campfire.

Great! - Great experience with Kat!
We drove to Finland to observe the Northern Lights and the show was beautiful.
Kat's explanations were very relevant and easy to understand.
The campfire kept us warm despite the -10°C

Brilliant company - Amazing experience. Antonio was very enthusiastic, friendly and knowledgeable in terms the best spots to see the Aurora with some incredible scenery. We did an early stop just incase we could get some early sightings but he decided to move us further along to a better viewing spot whilst it was still weak. The fire and food at the end of the night were much appreciated too. The professional photos are amazing and he made sure to offer us more pictures whenever the Aurora became stronger and better for images. I’d highly recommend this company.

The race for a clear sky to the North - The tour was so nice. I was on a work trip and had just one single day to see the northern lights for the first time. I am so happy with our lovely guide and driver for being so strategic in taking us as quick as possible away from the clouds, and finding a spot where I could finally make my dream to come true. In addition, they were so kind in always checking how comfortable we were. The hot chocolate at the end was such a nice closure for a lovely evening.

Wonderful northern lights experience - Our northern lights hunt with Green Adventures was great, with pick up and drop off, a fire, delicious hot chocolate and a warm soup as well as very effective thermal suits that really made the cold and wind bearable. We saw the northern lights, and got lucky enough to see her dancing for a fleeting time, which was incredible! Kat was very positive and Kat and David were very dedicated to finding a good spot for us to have the best chance to see the northern lights and made the hunt interesting and enjoyable. She was responsive and available to help all members of the group. I would definitely recommend the northern lights hunt with Green Adventures.
