Expensive but well worth it - Despite very poor weather and almost total cloud cover our guide and driver (Javier and Maciej) were superb and drove us 3 hrs inland to ahead of the cloud bank where there were breaks in the cloud and where we were treated to an amazing show from the aurora. The small coach is modern, well furnished and warm throughout the journey. The guides were friendly, chatty and knowledgeable throughout. They provide thermal boots and suits for those that wish to use them. They helped many setup their cameras, took professional photos of everyone in their chosen groups and provided soup and hot drinks around a campfire as the aurora ebbed over head. To say this was a dream come true is an understatement and I would definitely book with them again. (Note the actual tour is operated by Wandering Owl as their part in the Citizen Science program)

Tromso area Northern Lights Chase - Incredible experience in nature, on a very cold night, in search of northern lights. Erica was a great guide with an incredible passion and knowledge of the phenomenon. Highly recommended tour for families, couples or solo. Thank you team for the great experience.

Magical Night - Make sure you are traveling with wandering Owl! Our tour guide Erika and driver Adam were wonderful. It was stormy in Tromsø Norway and we had to travel hours into Finland. Erica kept saying don’t lose Hope, yet I secretly already had. three hours and about to return home. We swerved off the road suddenly and there was the dancing lady and we watched for at least an hour as she, gave us a magical show across the sky.

Highly Recommend! - Great experience, our tour guide and bus drivers were fantastic! Although we couldn’t see the northern lights for the first 6 hours of the tour, the tour guides tried very hard to look for them. We enjoyed a camp fire in the beach (although it was cold and raining), and they supplied drinks and food. We managed to see the northern lights and a moonbow at midnight! They even dropped us back to our accomodation as it was late at night by the time we got back. Thank you Javi and Jodnas for a great experience and night out! Highly recommend this tour!

Wonderful Tour ... Great Experience - The tour was great, our guide and driver were great too. We drove 2 hours to a place where we were surrounded by beautiful mountains. Sky was really clear on night of 13th and skyline was beautiful with stars twinkling all over. We even saw a few horses running around the field land and got really close to them at times. What a bonus! Unfortunately, we didn't catch much of the Northern light that night, only faint ones. Nonetheless, we saw Xavier and Michael trying endlessly the entire night hoping to spot the lights for the group. The meal, coffee and hot chocolate were tasty. Overall we enjoyed the tour though we wish we can see more.

There's better Tour Companies than this one. - The tour started out ok looking for cloudless sky as most tour companies do. Our guide was a fill in and cared more about what he was doing the next day than doing his best for the group of people that paid a good chunk of money for an opportunity to see the lights. He didn't want to drive too far due to his early start the next day. Yep we found a small patch of cloudless sky next to a roadside stop. Pretty useless considering all the traffic going by with headlights on, also not the safest place to be either. They were even unmotivated to get the thermal Suits out when asked. I don't have a problem not seeing the lights if conditions don't allow but their effort was put to shame by the Tour company we used the following night. Absolutely chalk and cheese. Give these guys a miss and try Northbound.no with Oli and Ryan, these guys ooze passion and go the extra mile.

Disheartened - Disheartened, our first tour in Tromso very underwhelmed! Our 1st viewing spot located on the side of the main highway with ongoing traffic aligning with the guide attempting photos in between vehicles passing by…2nd viewing spot located next to a lake which we had to climb down in the dark clearly no safety concerns from the guides with freezing winds to endure. Half of the travellers did not venture down the rocky path to the lake but instead stayed in the van due to the coldness. Thermal clothing was not offered, felt we were imposing such a request. I would not recommend this tour going on our experience.
