• Tromso - Transportation to Basecamp: Delight in a picturesque journey from Tromsø, featuring a brief ferry ride and stunning views of mountains and fjords.
• Nord-Lenangen - Activity: Upon reaching the base camp, prepare with snowmobiling gear, including suits, boots, and helmets. Our skilled guide will provide safety instructions and demonstrate how to operate the snowmobile. Enjoy the adventure as your guide leads you through the varied terrain of Lyngen.
• Nord-Lenangen - Evening Experience: After dinner, the Northern Lights forecast will be shared, and the fire in your lavvo will be lit. Once your lavvo is warm, a guide will accompany you there and instruct you on maintaining the fire. Please note that the lavvo is heated by a wood-burning fireplace. Enjoy a tranquil night in your warm and cozy lavvo, with the entire evening to search for the Northern Lights—whether relaxing under the glass ceiling or exploring the base camp surroundings.
• Tromso - Breakfast: The following morning, a traditional Norwegian breakfast is served before embarking on the return journey to Tromsø (city center). Arrival is expected around 11:00 a.m.

Nestled in the stunning Lyngen area, our base camp is surrounded by magnificent fjords, mountains, and islands. Situated at a considerable distance from the city, it offers minimal artificial light interference—ideal for witnessing the northern lights.

Enter our Crystal Lavvo for an unforgettable adventure. Experience an authentic Arctic stay in a lavvo warmed by a wood-burning fireplace. With a glass ceiling, you can gaze at the sky from the comfort of your bed.

Relish the opportunity to spend the entire night searching for the northern lights from the warmth and comfort of your lavvo. With some luck, you might witness various “Releases” throughout the night.

Information about Snowmobile Tour

The tour lasts about 60 to 90 minutes, taking you through the varied landscapes of the Montinus region in Lyngen.

• We offer a fixed menu. We will review your request and inform you whether it can be accommodated.
• Not suitable for Children under 7 years
• To operate a snowmobile, you must have a valid car driver’s license and be at least 16 years old.
• It’s required to show car driver’s license to guide, so remember to bring it!
• Not recommended for People with serious health problems or pre-existing medical conditions
• Not suitable for Wheelchair users
• Not recommended for People with mobility impairments
• Not recommended for Visually impaired people
• Not suitable for People over 309 lbs (140 kg)
• Not recommended for People with low level of fitness
• Not recommended for seniors over 80
• Snowmobiles are driven in pairs with one driver and one passenger per snowmobile (even if you book as one person). You will have plenty of opportunities to switch places during the adventure
• Please dress warm. A woolen base layer and at least one pair of woolen socks are recommended
• All participants must follow the rules discussed in the safety briefing. Participants that endanger themselves or others in any way, will be excluded from the tour without the possibility of a refund.
• The snowmobiles are insured with a liability of up to 980 EUR. That means the driver will have to pay up to 980 EUR on the spot to cover damages caused by the driver. Following the rules set by the tour guides will greatly reduce the risk of damage.
• The pickup time from Tromsø and the drop-off time in Tromsø can be subject to change, therefore please plan for some extra time between activities and/or travel plans.
• We may cancel this trip at any time due to weather or safety reasons. In this case, a full refund will be provided.
• This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a full refund or a different date if possible
• one lavvo has accommodations for up to 4 people, but We never mix guests who don’t know each other in our Lavvos.
• Please note that this is an adventure where you have to add wood to your wood oven yourself.
