Great pasta making opportunity with a true Italian! - This was outside our comfort zone a bit but so worth it. We made two different pastas and a tiramisu (getting the recipes as well) then were served the pastas and tiramisu as part of a full meal with all accompaniments. Our host, Giovanna was awesome and what a cook!!!! The meal was fantastic. I would recommend this to anyone!

A highlight of my trip - I wanted interaction with locals and an opportunity to converse in Italian. My afternoon with Giovanni and Mirabella was everything I was hoping for. Their home is charming and inviting and walkable from the area near Il Molo Audace. Giovanni explained the recipes and techniques and let me have hands on experience with the chitarra pasta cutter and shaping the ravioli. During our conversation over lunch, they gave me recommendations for the rest of my time in Trieste. Book this activity for a memorable experience.

Rita was a gracious host,... - Rita was a gracious host, extremely friendly & made the whole experience memorable. I booked last minute while waiting for my flight to take off & didn’t put in our preferences. She had made two appetizers out of mackerel and cod & when I told her that I didn’t really care for fish but would absolutely try it, she whipped up some bruschetta as well. My daughter and I had a wonderful time getting to know Rita and learning how to make pasta and tiramisu. I highly recommend this experience.

Enjoyable cooking class with delicious food - After Giovanni explained and demonstrated how to make tiramisu, ravioli, and spaghetti, he gave us the opportunity to try making each. He was patient and thoughtful. We were greeted with prosecco and snacks. His home has interesting antique art and some very modern furnishings. We worked in his kitchen and ate the food that we prepared in his dining room. It was a very hot day but his home has air conditioning and we were very comfortable. The food was delicious and there was a lot more food than we could eat. He offered wine with the food and limoncello afterwards. The experience was excellent and we highly recommend it

Wonderful Day Learning to make Pasta and Tiramisu with Giovanni! - Four couples traveling together and found this fun class to do while docked in Trieste! We had no trouble finding Giovanni's home and he was ready on our arrival. He had a table full of antipasto with plenty of wine and water available. We then got busy making the tiramisu, as it needed to go in the fridge for at least an hour. Making pasta from scratch is a long process but Giovanni kept it fun and gave everyone a chance to participate. He had made some of the pasta ahead or we would have been there a very long time! We made two kinds of pasta and once everything was made, it was time to eat! Lunch was delicious and there was so much food and wine, we were very full as we walked back to our ship! Giovanni's is very warm and welcoming and we felt like we were good friends spending time together in the kitchen. While Giovanni does not speak English (and we do not speak Italian), he is a pro with Google Translate and there was never a time we did not understand each other. We highly recommend you take this pasta class when in Trieste. Tell Giovanni we said "Buongiorno"!

Cooking Class - The cooking class was super, but the logistics to attend was dismal. There was no representation at the meeting place, and we were 30 minutes late for the failure.

Such a great time! - Our family of three adults and one 12-year-old, had a lovely time in Giovanna‘s home. We made and ate delicious pasta, and she graciously shared some great tourist tips and suggestions for our family. It was such a unique experience to work in someone else’s kitchen and share a meal at their dining table. Such a hit with our whole crew!

Do yourself a favor and save your money - We booked the pasta course and looked over the expensive price based on the pictures of the great cuisine and the description. Unfortunately, our instructor was not only very unfriendly, but the kitchen was in her private apartment and far too small for 5 people. We could hardly move in the kitchen and also made only 4 portions, although we were 5 people. The instructor also barely spoke to us and was not prepared, which made her even more uncomfortable when she had too little coffee for the tiramisu, for example. (The tiramisu was very crisp by the way) We felt very uncomfortable the whole time. Plus, communicating via TripAdvisor is an absolute joke. We were unable to reach anyone and even now, in retrospect, our complaints are ignored. The course is under no circumstances worth 135€ per person! We couldn't even do every step and were still hungry after that because she let us work without explanation and then just dumped some of the dough after she tried to work the dough in the dough machine for 10min wordless but obviously pissed. I hope this review is read and you save money.

Cancelled last minute. Not professional - Why you sell tours if you cancel them last minute? I made my whole day planned around this experience and i was looking forward. And then you cancel me? You need to be more up to date and close your date day before if you cant take people that day. This is not professional at all. And when you cancel someone tour you should write email of apologizing.
