Entertaining 3 hours - Peter has reported a lot of interesting information about Trier with a charming Dutch dialect. His excursion varied from antiquity to the clerical Middle Ages and modern times. We have been able to discover many places and special features of this historic city. We were very excited. Thank you so much!

Unique and personable experience to learn more about the history of Trier. - My dad and I booked this tour to learn more about the history of Trier and we were not disappointed! Peter was super knowledgeable and friendly. The mix of sites and information was great. Our only regret was not getting a picture with our new friend! Thanks Peter.

Excellent Walking Tour or Trier - We thoroughly enjoyed the Tour. We learned much about Trier History, German History, Roman History. Many Roman buildings (Porta Nigra) and many early churches. The guide was very knowledgeable. He went at our pace, staying as long, or short as we chose. We highly recommend this Tour.

Historical and Artistic City Gem - Trier - Trier is Germany's oldest city and an important site for ancient art treasures and monuments, such as the Porta Nigra, the best-preserved city gate from the ancient world. I chanced upon it when i googled for Germany oldest city. There are many historical building and pretty gardens. It has one of the nicest street too. Full of small town charm too. It has some nicest Germay-Asian Japanese restaurant too. For me what attracts me is ART, this is one city where you can find discover masterpieces of Romanticism, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque. From catherdral to basilisca, etc. You must walk and enter to these historical building inorder to appreciate their uniqueness. Every one of them is a masterpiece, has its own charactet, design and meaning. You can not find such a collection of styles elsewhere in the world.

Riesling and Roman archeology - Fascinating city, fascinating wines, friendly people. Let yourself be immersed in the tours in the cellars, tastings, conversations with the inhabitants and, of course, the importance of Emperor Constantine and his mother, Helena, better known as Saint Helena, of whom there are relics that she collected in the holy places.

Trier’s Hidden Gems! - A great private tour of Trier for my husband, our adult daughter, and myself. ! If you love history, this tour is for you! Dr. Nollen has a wealth of knowledge about the city and its Roman, Christian, and modernist heritage. We were privy to many hidden gems in the city we would have missed otherwise. We saw all the major sights too. Did I mention it was the coldest day of the year? He went out of the way to show us many indoor treasures so we wouldn’t freeze to death! Thank you Dr. Nollen!
