Begin your journey from our floating dock at The BoatDega. This is a half-day rental experience, not a guided tour.

Paddle along the canal for nearly a mile to reach the sandbar at John’s Pass, a favored spot. Feel free to beach your kayak or paddleboard and relax on the sandbar. Enjoy swimming in the shallow waters and searching for seashells.

Dolphins are frequently spotted, and there’s a chance to see a manatee. The area is teeming with birds, including ospreys, egrets, and pelicans.

Look for the mangrove tunnel. Two small mangrove islands join to form Eleanor Island, with a passage between them. Relax in the shade of the mangroves in the tunnel and take some stunning photos.

Dry bags are available for rent or purchase, allowing you to bring your cell phones along.

We’re situated by the bay, rather than the Gulf, which ensures more tranquil waters. The place you’re heading to is approximately a mile from here. John’s Pass is renowned for its sandbars, islets, dolphins, manatees, and more, making it a preferred spot for paddling.

Feel free to dock your kayak or stand-up paddleboard on the sandbar and bask in the sunlight. Explore the mysterious mangrove tunnel. Marvel at the spectacle of vessels cruising under the bridge while you catch some rays.

Skip the hassle of public boat launch points! Our location offers free parking space and a private floating pier. The BoatDega, our shop, offers refreshments, snacks, and restroom facilities. We can also provide a cooler and stock it with ice. Additionally, you may choose to book an Easy Snorkel. Take a swim in the shallow waters near the sandbar and keep an eye out for beautiful seashells.
