GIG to hotel transfer - Everything went smoothly. We were met at the airport just as we left the immigration and customs area and we were driven directly to our hotel in Barra da Tijuca. The driver provided cold bottled water, which was very welcome. We did not do any touring during this activity, but the driver did point out points of interest along the way. We did book additional individualized tours directly through this same company later in the week (tourguidegus.com) and those tours were outstanding.

Surprises that gives you life.... - Our trip was a rest, we are a large couple, I chose Barra dé tijuca, we did not know and the reviews were satisfying , it is a beauty, quiet and very safe, it is a wonderful place, the place is the beach resort Bandeirantes..... it is 54 km from the center of river by highways, nearby you have a very good Shopping, the hotel is spectacular and very well tended, huge room with balcony, super good bed with excellent cleaning, nice and complete breakfast, dinner in the hotel with very rich dishes and in tune with the "Brazilian" prices, the truth I recommend it and I plan to return....

Excellent service - Gus was ready and waiting at the airport, speaks perfect English and was very helpful. He knows everything about Rio. I would recommend him anyone!

Three days in Rio - We had airport transfers and two full days our touring with Gus. He is an excellent, professional guide. Gus is prompt and thorough with his planning. He has an exuberant personality and a passion for Rio. Gus will tailor a visit to the interests of the individual and still hit the high points. He can revise according to the weather and outside circumstances. I would recommend him without reservation.

Private tour with Gus in Rio - Amazing ,unforgettable day in Rio with Gus!! Just fabulous tour guide,he showed us everything in one day ,was extremely nice and kind,picked us up from the hotel and spent the whole day with us,very well trained and prepared for his job! Real professional in what he is doing !! Strongly advice to have a private tour with Gus!! You will never regret! The best guide ever! Great Guy Gus!!! - We were on a tour and they called Gus for airport transfer. Out flight was 7 am. Our tour wanted a 3 am pick up. Gus called us at hotel and explained 11/15 was a holiday in Rio, airport only 25 minutes away, inside was very easy to navigate and we could go as late as 5 am and be fine. We decided 4:45 was great and at dinner told our fellow travelers. Our tour concierge was not happy. He called company and they called Gus and gave him problems. They wanted to change us back to 3 am. We said no and went along as discussed w Gus. Gus is a professional! Great English!! Walked us inside and helped us check in. Gave us directions to gate and all was fine!! So thankful we didn't wait 4 hours in an empty airport! Sorry for the trouble Gus! Thank you!!!

Great experience! - We booked Gus for our transfer from GIG to our hotel at Copacabana - he was there waiting with the sign as promised. He had tracked our flight as there had been a delay. Communication was great. He gave us loads of info during the transfer too.
We booked him for a historical half day tour which we really enjoyed. Initial contact was via trip advisor then we communicated via WhatsApp for the trip.
Would definitely recommend and already have to our friends arriving in Rio next week.

Wonderful Tour Guide in Rio de Janeiro - Gus has been a great guide for our stay in Rio de Janeiro. We were glad to have his services for 3 days including transfers to / from airport.
He is very friendly and knowledgeable of Rio, both historically and logistically, for example which side of the Cordocova tram to sit on so as to maximise our ride experience! He is punctual in his pick-ups and is always thoughtful and flexible in finding ways for us to fully appreciate the local culture, sights and sounds of the city, especially when the weather was not permitting or if time was short.
His car is clean, comfortable and spacious for our family of four with all our luggages. He is also well connected and was able to recommend good guides at Iguazu Falls and Curitiba.
It was easy to communicate with him first on email then on whatsapp and he is very prompt in replying.
