- Balos Lagoon - Once visited by Princess Diana and Prince Charles, Balos Lagoon is renowned for its stunning exotic landscape, untamed natural beauty, and breathtaking turquoise waters. The lagoon features turquoise, vivid blue, and exotic white waters. In some areas, the sand has a striking pinkish hue due to the millions of crushed shells. As you venture further into the sea, beyond the rocks that form the natural boundaries, the water becomes colder and deeper, making it perfect for snorkeling. The Natura 2000 program safeguards Balos Lagoon due to its rare flora and fauna. Approximately 400 plant species have been documented in the area, with twenty-five species native to Crete, and three exclusively found in Balos. The lagoon is home to numerous migratory birds that feed and breed here, including Eleonora falcons, cormorants, and shags nesting in nearby caves. The area also serves as a refuge for the protected loggerhead or Caretta-Caretta sea turtle and monk seal.

Join us for an unforgettable experience aboard the most magnificent and luxurious sailing yacht in Crete. The adventure begins at the Port of Kissamos, where our friendly crew will warmly welcome you. As we set sail, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of Gramvousa Cape along the coastline. The journey to our destination takes approximately 1.5 hours. Upon reaching Balos Lagoon, our yacht will anchor in the heart of the bay, allowing you to dive into the crystal-clear waters for a refreshing swim (please note, disembarkation is not possible). Our crew will serve an array of drinks and snacks made from local, natural ingredients. During our stop, you can enjoy snorkeling and stand-up paddleboarding, guided by the captain’s instructions—feel free to ask him for assistance. You’ll have about an hour in Balos before we begin our return journey to the port, where you’ll witness the stunning sunset on the horizon, creating a breathtaking moment. The return sail will also take approximately 1.5 hours.
