- Konya - “Winter entertainment meetings”, an important element of Turkish folk culture, appear as BARANA in Konya. It is a 600-year-old legacy that Konya Governor Cem Sultan, one of the sons of Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror, left to the art and culture of our city by bringing scholars and governors together in notes. “Barana”, an organization that provides social solidarity, cohesion and unity especially in village and town life, is included in the “Performing Arts” section of intangible cultural heritage.

You will experience culture, music and local treats of Konya from the source. The artists are the last representatives of the traditional style. The treats are carefully prepared by Konya Municipality and the famous producers of Konya.

- Arrival of our guests to the barana room.
- Welcome and short introductory conversation in the Barana room.
- First treats; 20 types of nuts, crisps, Turkish delight, dates, halva etc. local snacks.
- Local music part 1, analects (40 minutes).
- 10 minutes break.
- Local music part 2, folklore games with guest participation (40 minutes).
- Tea, coffee and sherbet will be served throughout the event.
- Photo taking with instrumentalists and folk dancers, presentation of souvenir gifts and farewell.

Our meeting point is the OSMANLI KAHVEHANESI in the centeral public partk of Konya. You will see the single-storey wooden-looking building at the edge of the pond in front of the big mosque.
