An absolute GEM of an experience..... not to be missed! - In the aggregate it was a marvelous, once in a lifetime experience. Our guide was delightful - knowledgeable, accomodating and welcoming. The chateaux were simply breathtaking and the lunch was first class. My friend and I met some lovely fellow travelers and as there were only 6 others, we felt as if we had time and space to get to know them. The only challenge was getting to Tours to meet the tour guide. I would recommend traveling to Tours the night before and enjoying a night outside of Paris. We were staying in Paris and opted for a 6 am train so as you can imagine by the end of the tour day (6 pm) we were exhausted but that effort paled in comparison to the overall experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this VIATOR.....I have two very minor recommendations. The tour guides should have a case of water for their guests. It was quite hot and we had to stop multiple times for water purchases. Also, van needs some tissues, paper towels, something for clients..... thank you!

Easy, Informative, and Fun! - The all-day tour of two major chateaux which included lunch (with wine) at a small chateau near Chambord, was outstanding. What made all the difference was our tour guide, Alex, who drove the mini-van and spoke to the six of us with a microphone. Alex is a walking encyclopedia of French history, and her English was not only flawless, but full of colloquialisms meant for Americans like us. We learned a lot but also laughed a lot. For example, we were highly entertained by her detailed and edifying description of the significance and proportional requirements of the codpiece in the 16th century. She walked us through the two castles (Chenonceau and Chambord) just enough, and then left us on our own to explore, whether going through the beautiful gardens or further exploring the many rooms of each of them. Besides being entertaining, Alex was kind and thoughtful about our needs and concerns at all times. Everything was well planned and professional, and I highly recommend this tour and this company for a wonderful time.

Enchanting Visit to The Chateaux of The Loire Valley - We spent a lovely day in the Loire Valley - complete with perfect weather - visiting the chateaux. We were awed by Chambord, loved the decor and beauty of Chenonceau, and the stop at the private chateau for lunch was delightful and relaxing. Our guide was knowledgeable and her English was excellent - she engaged us in some basic French conversation as well. there were only 4 guests in the van which probably enhanced our tour - 8 people in the van would have been a little tight. It was close to a 9 hour day, but the schedule of the tour allowed for some downtime in the van and at lunch. We stayed in Amboise and would highly recommend visiting this city and chateau as well.

2 amazing chateaus, lunch at a 3rd, and drive by 3 more! - We did this tour starting in Amboise and were picked up promptly. Only one other couple on the tour. Camille did an excellent job balancing guided tour and allowing free time as well. We stopped at the gorgeous Chenonceau in the morning, lunch at the Chateaux de Villesavin provided by the Countess de Sparre, and finishing at the massive and imposing Chambord. On the drive back, you pass by le Chateau Blois, Chaumont sur Loire, and Amboise.

Great Day Trip from Paris - Alex was very knowledgeable. She gave us a ton of information about the valley and the castles that we saw. The tour was both interesting and fun. It was a treat to have lunch provided by a real countess in a real castle. We had a great time with the other couple that joined the tour:)
