Informative and Fun - I am not a big Agatha Christie fan, but my wife is, and so I accompanied her on this 2-hour walking tour around Torquay. I've been on a number of walking tours, but this was definitely the best! Graham, our guide, made the walk so interesting and interactive. As well as visiting sites around the town associated with Agatha Christie, we got to enact a murder and have our picture taken wearing Poirot or Miss Marple masks. This made the whole thing fun as well as informative. I learnt a lot, and the time flew by. I would thoroughly recommend this tour, whether you are a fan or not, and Graham is an excellent guide.

Fun and fact-packed walking tour - This was a really fun and informative walking tour. I didn’t know what an interesting life Agatha Christie had lead before I went on this tour. I also learned lots more about the history of Torquay.

A morning well spent - I did 'The story of Agatha Christie's extraordinary life' walking tour and was most impressed. I urge any visitor to Torquay who has even a passing interest in Agatha Christie (or even no interest but wants an interesting and informative walk round Torquay), to spend a couple of hours on this tour. Graham is knowledgeable about Agatha Christie's life spent in the town and in general about the society surrounding her at the time (more or less late Victorian and into Edwardian). It was also interesting to learn something about how Torquay evolved into a fashionable spa town where fairly affluent people from as far away as London came, for what was considered health benefits, facilitated by railway travel. We went to some Agatha Christie landmarks including Torre Abbey where she met the character which she developed into Hercule Poirot (Belgian refugees stayed in the town during WWI) - she was a volunteer nurse and I believe the abbey was used for the war effort for convalescing soldiers. Some fun photo opportunities and quizzes plus a useful portfolio of old photos shown at appropriate stops on the tour. Graham was genuinely interested in Agatha Christie and Torquay, and put a lot of effort into including some fun activities (which you can join in with or not). All in all the trip was about 2.5 hours with plenty of stops - a perfect amount of time. It is well worth the £20 ticket price.

Superb tour by a passionate guide - This was such a brilliant tour. Our guide Graham was superb. He was very knowledgeable, welcomed questions, was passionate & enthusiastic and made it fun. We learnt so much about Agatha’s life. So interesting. Thank you Graham. We can highly recommend this tour.

Great, fun walk - Graham provides a fun and informative tour of Torquay and gave us lots of tips for things to do there and the surrounding area. We got the ground running and using his advise walked to Cockington which is thought to be the inspiration for St Mary Mead, walked to Brixham along the SW coastal walk and finished with fish and chips before heading back to Essex on the train
