Loved the concept. - This was a top experience of learning and getting involved on beautiful pieces of paintings, photos, and rooms. The gallery is very aesthetic, you feel a nice illumination and vibe, I gotta say that it was a little bit big for the time and the pace we were having that day, so we didn’t get to see the entire gallery, if you want to see the most of it, maybe it can take you half of your day, but I think could be worth it. I’m returning again in another time to see what I missed! The gift store was very nice too!!

Beautiful Museum - There is more variety than I expected. This is a very eclectic Art museum with different mediums and artists. I learned a lot about Canadian history.

Good visit - I love visiting art museums and the AGO is a good one to visit. They were having a Latin American photography exhibition while I was there (Recuerdo) which I enjoyed very much! I did also love the works by Nakamura on display. The Yayoi Kusama exhibition was on too while I was visiting and it was a trippy experience!

Special Exhibits - There a lots of review about the wonderful permanent exhibits. Here is my take on some of the current special exhibits. Recuerdo: Latin American Photography at the AGO: If you love photography then you will definitely enjoy this. It is a fabulous collection covering people, places and events. Light Years: The Phil Lind Gift: A great collection of various types of art. A large portion is photographs with a unique perspective. All the art makes you think and ponder. A wonderful exhibit and the curator has done a great job laying out the areas. Moments in Modernism - Modern art is definitely not my cup of tea. I really did not like this exhibit. However, if you like Alex Colville paintings, there is one room with a good number of his paintings. Definitely worth visiting and viewing that one room. Yayoi Kusama's INFINITY MIRRORED ROOM - LET'S SURVIVE FOREVER: Wow, despite the hype, I really, really did not like this exhibit. Did not like this one nor the previous one. Well, art is in the eye of beholder.

Good for a full day - Didn't think I'd get a full day of exploration from a single place, but it's densely packed with art pieces from different eras. Top floor takes a while to get to, so I'd suggest the elevator if you don't want to do the spiraling staircase hike.

You must go to the AGO!! - I really like the AGO. I have been many times. Each time I see the art in a new way. Their displays are amazing. I love how it makes me feel just walking through a room after room, admiring the beauty and artistry and creativity that exists within its walls. The staff could be a bit friendlier though.

AGO now employing "TSA agents" at its entrance. - Went to visit the gallery this morning with my son and daughter (both at UoT), mainly to experience Yayoi Kusama's Infinity Room 'Let's Survive Together'. After purchasing our tickets at the counter (my son was asked to provide his ID and proof of address to get in free as an under 25), our visit was marred by the extraordinary rudeness of the admission staff member. When my son didn't produce a physical ticket to scan with her barcode reader, she refused to talk to me or my daughter as we tried to explain the situation, repeatedly cut us both off, told my daughter to stand aside, again refused to speak to me whilst insisting repeatedly that my son produce evidence of his eligibility to enter. Her rudeness was astonishing and utterly unacceptable. Shame on you AGO for employing such a person with clearly absent interpersonal skills as your front-line, public-facing first point of contact.
