Great service - Great service – it made doing the Tongariro Crossing stress-free and meant we could leave in our own car as soon as we were finished with the walk. Staff were friendly and organised, and I loved the dad jokes from our shuttle driver to set a good vibe for the day.

An indispensable and well-profited service. - Efficient and very well organized service between the different providers to optimize the day. We made it to the top... and left among the bottom after a magnificent crossing.

An amazing walk - not to be missed! - Fantastic hike! We cancelled our trip earlier in the week due to bad weather (freezing conditions and high wind) and National Park Shuttles were happy to move us on to later in the week. We had perfect conditions! We got the 6am shuttle which I'd recommend to get the climbing done before it gets too hot (on a good day :) ). It's really not too challenging if you go up at a steady pace and even though we had read it is just a long stream of people, this wasn't an issue as everyone tended to spread out as they walked at a different pace. The hike was more than I ever expected it to be and would highly recommend it. The scree coming down was a challenge due to a knee issue but well worth putting up with the slow descent. Our bus driver was lovely (David?) and got the day started perfectly with his friendly banter.

10/10 would recommend - On time and no fuss. They made it stress free to worry about travelling to the start of the hike. Reminder emails were sent prior to day to confirm booking. Good admin team.

What it takes and reliable - Bus a little rickety. But everything worked out fine and the short explanations at the starting point were also helpful. Would we book again

Great service - Great service and secure parking. Easy to use and lovely staff. Unfortunately they are really let down by the disgusting toilets in the parking lot, should do something about that!

Amazing hike; fantastic driver; extra long walk - The Tongariro Crossing is a unique hiking experience and well worth the planning and physical exertion required. Note: there is an exceptionally long (12km) descent which is pretty hard on the body—those with bad knees, be forewarned. The shuttle was as described, and our driver Marina was over and above fantastic. The only thing to note is that the car park is about 1km from the trail’s end, so you have to walk an extra km after a very long day.

No shuttle from finish back to your car - The lot was easy to find and directions were clear, but we had to wait about 30 minutes for a shuttle. Also be aware that the car park is over a kilometer away from the end point and we definitely didn’t feel like doing that extra walk at the end. Almost every other company had shuttles waiting for hikers at the trailhead at the end. It would’ve been nice if they had a shuttle to drive passengers the extra way at the end of a very tiring day. Also the bathrooms at the car park are really awful so plan accordingly.

Good! - Overall very good experience. It’s my first time doing long hikes. Hiking path is every easy to follow. Staff in parking and shuttles are very friendly. The only improvement I can think of is the toilets but I know it is difficult. Can the parking close a bit later as I almost couldn’t finish it before 7pm.
