A "Glowing" Experience! - I highly recommend booking the bioluminescence tour with Venture Outdoors - the entire experience was fantastic from start to finish! Our guide (and small business owner) Astrid thought of every detail to make it a great experience. Her helpful driving instructions made finding the launch easy, and she was ready to go when we arrived. The tour was amazing - Astrid was very knowledgeable and happy to share information/answer questions. It was like having a tour with an old (and very smart) friend. She accommodated the different needs of our party with ease. It was nice to get out of the kayaks at the nearby island to stand (or swim) to experience the bioluminescence more fully. I loved swishing through it with my hands. I can't wait to go out with her/Venture Outdoors again - either another bioluminescence tour, or the daytime tour with the manatees.

Unique and Memorable! - Astrid, our tour guide, was genuinely interested in sharing her knowledge and experience with bioluminescent life. It was very interactive; and allowed us the opportunity to interact with nature in a free manner that transcended any fears born from inexperience. We would definitely partake again!

Awesome time with wonderful operators - Three of us drove up to experience this. We all loved it. The tour operators were so friendly, kind, generous and sweet - I think that made the trip even better than it was. The waters were warm enough for me to “swim” and behave like a kid. The bioluminescence was good, the mullets jumping around made it amazing. I would highly recommend the tour and specifically this operation - they are just awesome.

Awesome experience - The overall experience was amazing! Without any kayaking experience, my family and I decided to book this excursion. Our tour guide, Astrid, was just phenomenal and did not blink twice when our party of 5 told her we had no experience. She gave us a quick crash course and we were off. Astrid gave us lots of information about the bioluminescence. She was the calming voice in the darkness when a few of us were getting nervous and anxious. Best part of the excursion was not just seeing the bioluminescence, but also being so close to the manatees and dolphins- literally just a few feet from them! We had to stop paddling one time for fear of hurting a manatee with our paddles. Incredible!

Amazing - It was a great experience. I am looking forward to doing this again. I was super nervous at first but became comfortable. We seen dolphins manatees and being able to see the bioluminescence was magical.

The one event you HAVE to do! - This was an absolute serene and beautiful experience! I will definitely be recommending it to friends! I can’t wait to do it again! Highly recommended! Astrid is so full of knowledge but her love for the water, animals and the science of it was energetic yet calming.

June bioluminescence kayak tour - We Had the most amazing time with Astrid on the bioluminescence tour! The dolphins were constantly beside us. Lovely location. Astrid was so knowledgable and taught us so much! Seeing the water glow was amazing! Would definitely recommend this activity! Must do activity for those that like to d something different! I would certainly do it again!

What an incredible... - What an incredible experience! We all absolutely loved it and we will definitely do this again! Astrid was OUTSTANDING! so sweet to our kids, loads of knowledge and made us feel comfortable, safe and like family. We highly recommend this tour and once we are back, we will do this again!

Worth experiencing but nothing like the photos suggest - Bioluminescence is fascinating however, it’s nothing like the photos suggest. Forget the glowing blue water images. The water sparkles when agitated. Tiny flashes of light appear if you run your hand across it or if you splash some on your clothes. The trip was relaxing and great fun and it’s worth seeing bioluminescence in real life rather than the strange glowing photos.
