Highlights
  • Skanderbeg Square - Our journey begins at the central square of Tirana, which includes the Et’hem Bey Mosque, the Clock Tower of Tirana, and the National Theater of Opera and Ballet (where the first brick was laid by former Soviet Union President Nikita Khrushchev). We’ll also visit the National Bank of Albania before continuing our tour.
  • Enver Hoxha Pyramid - This structure stands as a symbol of the infamous communist era, having withstood several attempts by past governments to demolish it. It remains unrestored, representing the complex and contradictory history of Tirana.
  • House of Leaves - The House of Leaves Museum offers a glimpse into the harsh realities of communism. Once the National Intelligence Agency, this espionage house is one of Tirana’s most fascinating sites, aiming to educate young people and visitors about one of the darkest periods in the country’s history.
  • Blloku - Known as The Block, this area was once home to former Communist dictator Enver Hoxha’s villa. During his rule, it was restricted to government officials, but today it is filled with trendy coffee shops, boutiques, cocktail bars, and pubs. We’ll take a walk through Tirana’s most vibrant neighborhood.
  • Polytechnic University of Tirana - Established in 1951, the Polytechnic University of Tirana is the oldest and second-largest university in Albania, following the University of Tirana. It currently enrolls around 10,000 students from Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, and Montenegro.
