A great experience - This was our first time to Albania and this trip was booked through the travel company we used. Our guide, Markel, met us near our hotel and took us on a tour of the city with some great food stops. I didn't really know anything about Albania food, but I loved trying new things. Markel was great, really friendly and told us about loads of Albania history. Would highly recommend the tour and guide!

Lovely experience with Markel - We had a great tour with Markel and went all over tasting different things. Markel was great. He handled what was quite a random group dynamic (as some people arrived late and then needed to leave early) really well and kept professional and unflustered throughout! He did really well, he seemed to be very passionate for what he was doing and we learnt loads from him about Albania we wouldn’t have otherwise known.

Taste all Tirana has to Offer with an EXCELLENT Tour - This was an AMAZING tour! Our guide, Markel, made this an immersive cultural experience that was quite unexpected. He explained the history of the foods, the way they are made, who invented them, where the people selling them came from and so much more! I appreciated the time he took to explain each thing in so much detail. He also answered all my questions! We went to a fruit stand and had apples, tomatoes and mandarins (all fresher than I've ever had!), for Turkish coffee, where I had a tea so amazing I made Markel find some for me at a market on our way so I could take some home! Then we had some 'meatballs', stuffed eggplant, homemade bread, grilled vegetables, and 'clay pot'. Wow! So much food! We finished everything off at a place full of antiques that offers 30 different flavors of Raki! I had the honey and it was wonderful! I highly recommend this tour! It is well worth the time and money! Ask for Markel - he is excellent!

Fantastic experience and informative - Markel our guide was fantastic. He was engaging and informative throughout the whole tour and answered all our questions. We spent the day exploring places we would not have found without his help. The bazar was wonderful and we stopped and had some fruit grown locally. Delicious pastry for breakfast, sampled cheeses, honey and nuts. We then had a traditional Albanian lunch. Our day was super busy and so much fun. I would really reccomend doing it. Be prepared for a lot of walking.

Locale food in Tirana - Half day walk through the city with several stops for food tasting. The day started with burek as breakfast, continued with fruit, honey and cheese tasting before reaching lunch destination and finishing with raki in famous bar. There was also stop for real Turkish coffee in small café. In between the delights, plenty of local markets, interesting places and explanation about history, traditions and food. I really enjoyed the walk.

Great food and great way to learn about Albania! - My friend and I booked this tour and we had an absolute great time! Our tour guide Markel was great! He gave great info about Albania and the city, and made us feel like we were hanging out as friends; sharing stories about Albania, his culture and learning so much from him. The food was also great. He took us to a lot of Local spots that I would have never found on my own, and we tried many delicious Albanian dishes. Come to this tour hungry because you will leave full. I strongly recommend this tour for anyone, and it’s a fun way to get to lean more about Tirana and Albania. Thanks for a great day Markel!!

Tasty treats in Tirana - Anna was a great guide! She was very knowledgeable and chatty. As well as taking us to various eateries, she showed us some places of interest such as Skanderbeg Square and a market/bazaar. The food was delicious and I have already tried to find some recipes! The final stop is a bar for raki tasting, but don't worry if you are teetotal - you will be allowed to choose something else from the drinks menu (at no extra cost). Thanks for everything! My friend and I had a great day. :)

Good food and good company - Our wonderful guide was Brikena. She took us around the city showing us different local hubs. She explained how life for the locals has changed, or stayed the same, over the last few decades, answering all our questions. The food we ate was delicious and plentiful. We walked away with full bellied and smiling faces.
