The best guide for touring Albania - Gjenc is an amazing guide. Fun to be with and very professional in his work. We travelled from Durres to Sarande and back to Tirana. Visited Butrint, Vlore, wild river, Blue Eye, Gjirokaster and archaelogical sites in between. He also sought out some places we didn't expect and took us to some lovely places to eat. Weather was not the best but it did not deter us. Gjenc's historical knowledge and insight into Albanian life is second to none. Even with my limited mobility he was kind and thoughtful. Most important he is an excellent, safe driver. We have used Gjenc twice now and we feel safe in his company. We are hoping to return to Albania next year with Gjenc again as our guide. We highly reccommend Gjenc if you are looking for a guide in Albania as he is everything we have said and more and he is so easy to get on with. See you next year Gjenc!!

Amazing intimate efficient enjoyable tour - My tour in Tirana with Gjenc as our guide was an unforgettable experience. After taking a large 30+ person bus tour the previous day, I wanted something more intimate, and this tour was exactly what I was looking for. More than just a sightseeing trip, it was an insightful journey into Albania’s history, culture, and stunning landscapes. Gjenc ensured we had enough time to take in the views, explore at our own rhythm, and truly enjoy the journey. Plus he is exceptionally skilled at taking very nicely framed photographs of his tourists and travelers! I'm especially glad I chose this tour over the bus and hike option. The hike itself is just a long dirt road, not particularly scenic, and walking alongside cars wouldn’t have been enjoyable. With this company, we traveled in a small car that took us very close to the top, saving time and energy while still getting the best experience. Gjenc’s passion and enthusiasm were evident from the start. Having grown up in Albania, he shared not only historical knowledge but also personal stories that brought the country’s past and present to life. His humor and down-to-earth nature made him incredibly easy to talk to, creating a warm and engaging atmosphere throughout the day. One of the highlights of the tour was visiting Bovilla Lake. Breathtaking views & fabulous hike - Amazing hike up the Gamti Mountain with breathtaking views over Bovilla lake. Our guide Kenni and our driver were fabulous communicators and ensured each stop was perfect. The canyon stop was lovely even with handrails missing off the old bridge! The hike is not for the faint hearted! I was so happy to have reached the summit - well worth the fear factor! A great day out.

Excellent day tour! - Our tour guide Gjenc was the best! Pick up was ahead of schedule and he was super friendly and informative. He told us so much about Albanian and the countries history. He also really helped us out with our 5 year old hiking the Bovilla Lake mountain. Without him we wouldn’t have been able to do it. His lunch food recommendation’s were top notch and we really enjoyed this tour. We felt like we had enough time in each slot and weren’t rushed. Highly recommend 👍👍

Great day out - We received great communication from the tour guide prior to the day itself. A full explanation of the day ahead was given to us on our way to Bovilla Lake, so we knew what to expect. We were also given a lot of information about Albania and its history and were given the opportunity to ask questions. On arrival at Bovilla Lake, our guide headed up the mountain ensuring we were following closely behind and were safe. Once at the top, he kept checking on us to make sure we were ok, as it was very windy. He also took a lot of photos of us, which was much appreciated. The views were amazing. After our hike down, we went to sit in the restaurant for a drink. This was very lovely and modern and highly recommended. We then set off towards Kruja and were told how long it would take to arrive etc. On route we were given more information about communism in Albania. On arrival in Kruja we went to a restaurant for lunch, can’t remember the name but it was very good. After lunch, we headed towards Kruja castle, through the bazaar. Once at the castle our guide told us about the history of the castle and gave us some free time to take some photos and wander around. We explored the castle and surrounding area then set off back to Tirana. We had a wonderful day, visiting beautiful places all helped by our very informative guide. Would highly recommend!!
