• Thun - The group will gather across the street from the train station. Logistics will be discussed briefly before proceeding.
• Mühleplatz - This plaza offers a wonderful spot to unwind by the River Aare. It’s a perfect place for refreshments or to watch surfers in action, as Thun is one of the few European locations where surfing is possible.
• Obere Hauptgasse - The tour will explore the historic old town, including the Obere Hauptgasse, known for its elevated pavements and charming shops.
• Rathausplatz - The old town hall is the centerpiece of Thun’s historical area. Photos will be taken of the plaza, along with the castle and church, which offer a lovely view.
• Schloss Thun - The group will ascend to Thun Castle to capture stunning city panoramas from this medieval fortress’s vantage point.

(For group members with special mobility needs, an elevator will be used instead of stairs).

• Stadtkirche Thun - A walk will be taken next to the beautiful old church on the Schlossberg, revealing hidden spots for panoramic views of the city and the River Aare.
• Flusswelle Thun - The tour will pass by the river and the old wooden bridges. With some luck, surfers might be seen on the river. This spot offers a beautiful view of the riverbanks for photography.
• Quai Brahms - A stroll along the Brahms-Quai will provide views of Castle Schadau across the river. Depending on the time, the ferry might also be seen passing by.
• Obere Schleuse - The return to the train station will be via Scherzligschleuse, one of the old wooden bridges housing the river’s sluice gates. This location is ideal for practicing low-light photography, creating images with a darker ambiance.
