• Thesee, Ruins of a Gallo-Roman Settlement - Our journey begins in Tasciaca, a city dating back to around year 0. Known for its clay pots and containers, this Gallo-Roman city has been producing and selling wine for 2000 years. Your guide will share the story of Tasciaca on site.
• Bourre - This location is famous for its limestone quarries, which provided the blocks used to build cathedrals and chateaux throughout the Loire Valley.
• Montrichard - In Montrichard, you’ll experience the ambiance of a medieval town. Your guide will share various passionate stories about the significance of these places. You’ll also learn to distinguish between medieval and Renaissance-style castles.
• Chateau de Chenonceau - After a bike ride along the river and through the forest, we’ll arrive at a breathtaking Renaissance château. Savor a delicious picnic lunch featuring the finest local foods from the Cher Valley right in front of this magnificent sight! Could you dream of a better view? You’ll also have the opportunity to walk along the river to admire Chenonceau and its elegant arches.

• The total distance you will be riding is 36 kms for a total duration of 4,5 hours. This include the time taken during different stops and for the picnic lunch.
• The visit of the inside of the chateau is not included. It would last another 2 hours. You have the possibility to visit it at the end of the tour, on your own, once we returned our bikes. Tickets are sold at the northern entrance of Chenonceau or online.
• The picnic is served in the southern bank of the river, by the forest, facing the emblematic Renaissance castle. It is not possible to access to the inside from this side. Public entrance and ticket office are on the other side of the Cher River.
