Amazing tour. Must go! - My niece recommended tbis tour and every minute was worth it. It was just 2 of us, the driver and the guide, Billy, who is also the owner. The tour started at 5.10am! Yes that early to catch the sunrise.  After which we went to see how good fish sauce is produced. Followed by a stop at the local fish market where you see the men bringing in the fresh catch of the day. And after that a stop for Vietnamese coffee and Bahn Mi. We were driven to Dong Bihn village, a hidden village, where the villagers make their crafts. In this village our first stop was at the home of a rice wine maker This was followed by visiting the home of an elderly couple who are mat weavers and the last stop was the home of a rice paper maker, where we also enjoyed a quick snack. These stops were not only educational,  but we had a glimpse of the lives of the people we visited, adding a personal touch to it. Btw be prepared for a quiz after the end of the tour by the guide😂😂. Actually, it helped to reinforce what we had seen, felt, touched, smelt, and heard. As Billy said, it really awakens all our 5 senses. Glad it wasn't one of those typical commercialized ones.

The tour continued with delicious local street food, a scenic coffee stop, and visits to several local families specializing in traditional crafts like noodle making, rice wine, and sleeping mats. Being able to interact with these artisans and even try our hand at noodle making was truly special. Both tours felt personal, authentic, and thoughtfully designed. An authentic and fascinating experience in Hoi An! - An authentic and fascinating experience in Hoi An! The tour was a wonderful journey through local traditions. We started with a visit to the lively fish market, full of colors, scents and scenes of everyday life. It was fascinating then to discover a traditional fish sauce workshop and see up close how one of the basics of Vietnamese cuisine is produced. The visit to the rice wine distillery was equally interesting, followed by a meeting with local artisans who showed us the ancient art of weaving sleeping mats. Each stage allowed us to get in touch with the local culture in a genuine way. Special thanks to Hoa, who was really kind, patient and very prepared: she accompanied me with passion, sharing curiosities and explanations that made every moment even more interesting. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to discover the most authentic side of Hoi An!

Highlight of the trip! - Highlight of my trip to Hoi An! Hoa is such an excellent guide, knowledgeable, thorough, caring, has great sense of responsibility and sense of humour. Going to the real life of how locals live is much more meaningful than going through the old town which nowadays is very touristy. It does pay off by getting up early not only to avoid the heat but to see how the real busy morning for the locals. I also enjoyed being in a small group, and got the chance to try out making noodles and weaving, meanwhile understanding how difficult it is. I would recommend this tour to everyone. An advice is to do the tour at the beginning of the trip so as to have an overview.

Perfect Hoi An morning - We loved every minute of our early morning tour with Emily. She is intimately familiar with the local craftsmen we visited and clearly cares for them and her hometown of Hoi An. We learned how rice wine, fish sauce and rice noodles are made. We tried weaving with a woman who has been making sleeping mats for more than 40 years and sipped salt coffee in a garden oasis we would have never found on our own. Emily who speaks excellent English brought all to life for us.
