Great Sights - Great sights. Although it was raining and most of the island was closed due to the earthquakes, our driver made up for it with his energy. We got to experience the beauty of Santorini.

A great way to experience this beautiful island! - We only had two days in Santorini and this was a wonderful way to see and learn so much about the island. Socrates was our guide. He provided a perfect opportunity to see and understand the different areas of the island. He gave facts, information, and perfect views to put together a perfect day. Socrates provided recommendations for the best photo spots and even places to get whatever we needed. It was a beautiful day.

Santorini in a Half-Day - We traveled to Santorini off-season in December, on a Wednesday, which afforded us the best, noncrowded experience. We were able to see all the highlights, guided by our tour guide, Joanna and wonderful driver. Because we did this off-season, we were able to see more because the lack of traffic gave us more experience time.

Santorini…Beautiful…Don’t Miss It! - We met our guide, Dimitrius, at the upper station of the cable car. Having a customized private tour is the way to go. He was very friendly, very accommodating, and made helpful suggestions along the way. We visited Fira with a photo stop at the famous blue dome. The white houses with their blue roofs along the hillside are quite beautiful. He took us to Oia where we spent some time taking beautiful photos of the views. Next we visited the black sand beach which was very impressive. Our tour ended at the winery Estate Argyros, suggested by Dimitrius. We couldn’t have been happier. We loved the short tour ant the winery and the wine tasting in such a beautiful, relaxed setting. We were given a lovely charcuterie to pair with the four wines we sampled. An exceptional ending to our day. Thank you, Dimitrius! (That made up for the tremendously long line to the gondola down the mountain and our tender to the ship!!) Love Santorini!

Beautiful Sunset - Joanne was very informative and fun!! Our family enjoyed the tour itself. The personalized attention was very welcoming. The excursions and places were absolutely breathtaking and the sunset was exhilarating. Great tour and so worth partaking.

We thought we had a guide- a misleading page on Viator - We booked what we tought was a private tour. It turned out what we wound up with was a driver. We realized this once we met, but at that point, there was little to be done about it. He was nice and tried to be accommodating but... Our confirmation said 'driver/guide', we had booked licensed guides for all of our other excursions so I dont think the mix up was us! The vehicle was sub par, uncomfortable due to low clearing of the roof so getting in and out for our taller friends was a pain. Communicating with the company was problematic and I should have cancelled with this company (I had threatened to do so with Viator if I did not hear from them as they were totally unresponsive). We bought admission to Akritiri archeological site and the driver could not accompany us. That turned out to be a bust since we really did not know what we were looking at. This was one excursion I would not recommend if you want an experience that provides insight into what are seeing. This driver was almost as expensive as our other Greek excursions that included a licensed guide. Buyer beware! Also, Santorini is crowded with tourists (late September) so even if you do want to just go shopping, it is difficult to get around.

Santorini was crowded... - Santorini was crowded even being on the shoulder season. So the time only gave us a bit to see. Driver was nice but it didn’t fulfill my expectations
