Wonderful! - We had a wonderful time with Giorgios! The tour hit the outside all the major historical sites and also included interesting information about culture and food! You don't go inside them all, but it gave us insight on which ones to revisit. We loved it!

Excellent, very personal, tour - Brilliant tour! Giorgos was our charming guide and he was great! Took us to all the must see sights in an easy walk; told us about them entertainingly and listened to the group, so we choose to go inside a couple of churches.
One very minor feedback - it would be good to try and stop in shade and/or where there were seats.
We enjoyed Giorgos’ company so much we - the group - had lunch with him and he ordered and told us about traditional Greek food. The meal was one of the best we’ve had in Greece!

Loved our walking tour with Alice! - Alice was an excellent guide. She clearly knows Thessaloniki well. She took us to a number of historic sites and provided very informative commentary at every stop. It Was perfect highlights rou and just what we wanted for our stop there.

Way to go - You get to see many of the sights of Thessaloniki, which is good. A good amount of walking is part of the deal, which is a plus if you like walking and a minus if you don’t or can’t.
The Akropolis is too far away and not part of the tour. You don’t get to see anything from the inside, everything is just passed by.
The tour is OK, reading up beforehand might do as well.

Enjoyable walking tour, hits all the highlights. - We received a message from our guide the night before asking to push back an hour due to a family emergency. I think we actually got a fill in guide. There were 7 of us in the group. Our guide was friendly and eager. At first I had a little trouble with her accent but I quickly caught up.
Others in our group were having more trouble. Our guide had a pack of papers she was using to keep her on track and to make sure she covered important facts at each site. She was obviously newer to guiding and our group was supportive of her.
She kept up a brisk pace, covered all the stops on the itinerary and shared some thoughts on other areas we might like to visit on our own.
The tour accomplished what we had hoped for in giving us a good overview of the area and comfort to continue to explore on our own.

Tour guide Fenia was... - Tour guide Fenia was friendly and pleasant. She did read off some hand held notes which I found a bit unusual. I also had a hard time understanding her due to her accent . This was than likely just a me issue . The tour itself was enjoyable and we got to visit some of the landmarks and unique neighborhoods. Had a small group of 8 people do that was nice and the smallness of the group allowed for us to interact with one anothet

Walking tour - The time was changed the night before, which was ok, but did rearrange our day some. The tour guide was very nice, but read from a paper and it seemed like was maybe winging it. It was ok but we were a little disappointed with the walking tour. Beautiful city and lovely people!

We 4 people were at the meeting place (front door of White Tower) at 10 AM meeting time. The entrance is small, just an ordinary door. There was no guide. There was no one holding a sign with their name or my name. No one asked us if we were there to meet a guide. There was no one standing at the main entrance. While there, I received 2 e mails from TripAdvisor stating that the guide was at the door waiting. The "response" button on the e mails from Trip Advisor did nothing. My email back to TripAdvisor was returned as undeliverable. We were not given a phone number for the guide. We 4 split up and began asking people near and far if they were our guide. After 30 or 40 minutes we gave up, bought tickets to see the White Tower, and hired a cab driver to take us to the other sites on our original tour.

Avoid this non-existent walk - We booked the walk via Trip Advisor. On the day, Saturday, we turned up at the White Tower 5 minutes ahead of schedule, at 9:55. We had received a few reminders that we had booked the Guided Walk, prior to this. We looked around for the guide or a group of people doing the walk and asked others, including the bus guides, where the walk started from, but no one was to be found. They told us the previous day people had been searching for the same walk, to no avail. About 10:10 a notification flashed on my phone saying the walk was cancelled. No explanation was given. Eventually at 10:30 we engaged in a chat room with Trip Advisor who eventually assured us we would receive a refund within 5 working days. We did. We still haven't had a guided walk and had to make our own up. We are asked to write what made this experience memorable - no one showed up, although they were keen to take our money and send us reminders like 'Your Guided Walking Tour in Thessaloniki is today at 10:00 A.M. Have a wonderful time!' (at 10:39 after cancelling). The next part we are asked to comment on is the professionalism of the staff. No one showed up to explain anything! An Online chat was OK but not the best. We can't comment on an absent guide. The final aspect for comment is the suitability for various groups. Impossible to say. We were very disappointed and upset by our experience. It will make us very reluctant to book such activities in the future.
