Great tour - Really solid tour. The guide, Stella, was friendly and super knowledgeable—took us to all the major highlights around Thessaloniki and even showed us a hidden spot that most tourists would probably miss. The driver, Apostolos, was great too. The car was clean and comfortable. All around a smooth, worthwhile experience. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting and wanting to learn&see more.

A Great Experience & Value! - We just finished our guided tour of Thessaloniki and I can’t recommend it enough! Stella was extremely knowledgeable, outgoing, and well-spoken—she brought the city’s deep history to life in such an engaging way. Our driver- Apostolos- was fantastic, navigating everything so seamlessly. This tour offers so much value for what you get to see and learn. It’s an absolute must-do if you want to truly understand the roots and richness of Thessaloniki.

Bespoke Thessaloniki highlights in comfort of an a/c vehicle - A very comfortable and succinct tour for those who don’t want to waste time finding all the interesting sites, and would like to do so in comfort (Greece in summer can get quite hot). The tour was tailored to our needs, with willingness to accommodate breaks and points of interest. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and funny, and the van was spacious and clean. We loved the experience.

Strong Recommendation - We really enjoyed the Best of Thessaloniki Private Guided Tour. Our tour guide Yiannis was outstanding. He shared a lot on local histoy and the sites we saw. He was interesting and funny. We also talked about his background and Greece today, which we found interesting. We thought he as great. It was nice to have a dedicated driver in addition to the tour guide - it allowed the tour guide to focus on us.

Wine and view tour with Yannis - Our tour guide Yannis/John was very knowledgeable. The wine tour and city tour was a wonderful afternoon. We saw panoramic views and the photos were amazing.

Undiscovered history with a trained archaeologist - An interesting and mind-expanding visit to four sites that tell the story of the city and region. As our enthusiastic and super-smart guide Stella, herself a trained archaeologist, put it: “23 centuries of history in a four-hour tour!” In fact, we felt very lucky to get Stella at all, because the basic tour does not include a guide - just a local driver. Trust me, get a guide and ask for Stella by name. She will transform a collection of castles and churches and monasteries into a narrative of Alexander, Romans, Ottomans and WWII. This is such an important place in the history of civilization that you’ve never heard of.

Good but dry at times - Overall, the tour in Thessaloniki was good and covered interesting sites, but the presentation felt a bit dry at times. Unfortunately, it was hard to hear the guide while in the van, which made it difficult to stay engaged, and I even found myself nodding off occasionally. With clearer audio and a bit more energy in the delivery, this could have been an excellent experience.
