A perfect way to get to know Thessaloniki! - A wonderful trip into the food and history of Thessaloniki! The guide was personable and knowledgeable and perfectly explained how everything we ate was a reflection of the diverse culture of the region. The food was delicious and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the city!

More than a food tour! - Pano was such an excellent guide. Born and raised in ‘the old capital’ of Greece, he was a lifetime chef foody , historian and humanitarian- he was just so interesting! The choices of spots were unique and authentic, each opening us to a different aspect of Greek history and culture, If you are considering a food tour here pick Gastro Routes!

Highly recommend this tour - Loved this food tour. The guide was very knowledgeable- was great to learn some of the history of Thessaloniki and get an understanding of the food culture. The group was small & we visited little cafes and shops that we wouldn’t have discovered by ourselves.

Excellent tour with Panos - Panos was an excellent guide - both for gastronomy and history! He knew I was interested in ancient history and archaeology and incorporated these into our conversation about Thessaloniki and its food. The food I tasted was incredible, and his considerable knowledge about gastronomy and the foods of the region made it even more enjoyable. It was like hanging out with an old friend. I would definitely recommend this tour. :)

Excellent day out! - Lovely tour - Panos was friendly and informative and he took us to a variety of local and traditional places to try food and drink, starting with coffee, moving through markets, delis, speciality shops and ending with more substantial tastings at a cafe/bistro. The group was small - only 5 of us on the tour I took - which meant we were able to all chat and interact rather than just following.
The cheese especially is amazing. Highly recommended for travellers to Thessaloniki, to get an overview of the city centre plus some delicious history.

Best Food Tour in Thessaloniki! Must do!! - This is a authentic food experience in Thessaloniki with a local, who was once a chef and shared all their favourite local food, coffee & wine spots in Thessaloniki, away from tourist traps.
Panos was very hospitable, knowledgeable about history, food and culture of city. Best food tourbin Thessaloniki and highly recommended.

Do not hesitate to book ! Wonderful experience - Do not hesitate to book your tour, chef Panos has a wonderfull knowledge about Greek cuisine and specialities (we visited so many places where locals are meeting, not tourists) but bring also a lot on Thessaloniki culture and historical background ! Highly recommended !
