Perfect way to visit ancient historical sites - We decided on a bus tour so that we didn’t have to drive and so that we could have an expert guide to provide the historical context of the sites. Our bus driver was cordial and helpful and not once did we feel uncomfortable in the bus. Our guide was Eleni. She was wonderful. Knowledgeable, helpful and great company. She was also very proud of the spaces and sites we visited which really encouraged us to understand how meaningful they were and are today. The tour itself was also very well organised. Started and ended exactly on time. All in all a wonderful experience.

Fantastic day trip - Went on this trip with Yiannis on 27th July. Having waited a long time to visit these sites, having seen them on the TV, it was far better than we could have expected. Yiannis was a great friendly guide, well suited to the job, always putting a bit of humour in, explained everything as we went along. The day was well planned out, with enough time to visit all four sites. This tour is well worth doing, and takes you to a lovely little restaurant next to the Aigai Tombs, it is very reasonably priced and the food was fantastic. Could do it all over again. Hope to be back in Thessaloniki soon.

If you like history, take this tour - This tour is a time trip, first we visit the museum and the archaeological site of Pella which contains a rich collection of the history of Macedonia and its most famous leaders, Philip II and his son, Alexander the Great. In the place we can walk where they walked one day. After that we go to Vergina where we find the Tomb of Philip II with all the objects they buried with him, there are many details and a lot of history to be learned that was shared in the smallest details by our Guide Lazaro, thanks for the journey in time.

Efficient way to learn about Alexander, Pella and Vergina - Excellent guide who gave an introduction to our sights on the bus and answered our questions. This tour allowed us to see much more than we would have had we tried to get from place to place on our own in the July heat.

Fun expedition to archaeological remains of ancient Macedonia - Efficient bus journey, the main stops were very interesting with enough time for exploration. For future consideration, if some time could be given to stop by the Aigai palace site and theatre as well, that would be more added value, but Phillip’s tomb and the museum by themselves are quite amazing.

A must if you like archeology & history - Good central meeting point. The bus was good although the aircon was not the best unlike the Meteora trip. You visit Pella's old ruins. Not much left but you get a feeling for large Agora, 2 large houses with mosaics & the public baths. Take hats & water, an umbrella for the sun. €8 for 2 entrances in Pella. It includes the museum there. Then you go to Vergina to see 2 more museums. These are also €8 for both entrances. So a total of €16. The ruins + 3 museums. You barely have time to buy a gyro in Vergina for lunch but that is ok. To me, the last museum where the Tombs are is the highlight of the trip. For the price, you just need to show up & stick to the times which I think were enough to see everything. Tour guide was nice, pleasant, good English but while in the places you are on your own. It is not a fully guided tour although you will see some other groups with full guides there. That is the only thing I can say that they could offer more information in each location.

an unforgetable experience - not to be missed absolutely a must see, the only thing bad about our visit was the atrocious condition of the main roads worth considering a private tour because bus tour was too rushed and if you wish to eat the time is taken from the tour time

An experience to remember for life - This was a truly life-enhancing experience. We were guided by the charming and very knowledgeable Lazaros, who introduced us to the ancient and very singular history of Macedonia as we first drove to Pella with its beautifully designed modern museum with astonishingly beautiful artefacts. Then to the ruins of the city with its enormous agora, or market/meeting place surrounded by merchants and workshops. On to Vergina and a brand new (again, beautifully designed) museum containing artefacts discovered in the many burial mounds in the area. None more astonishing than that of Philip II of Macedonia, father of Alexander the Great, and only discovered in 1977... Go! Go! And thank you, Lazaros!

Wonderful trip with Lazaros - Lazaros was an amazing guide, with a great sense of humor and a love for the history of the region. Strolling through the ruins of the palaces and markets where Alexander the Great spent his youth was an incredible experience. The last stop is the museum built on top of the royal tombs of Phillip II (Alexander's father) and Alexander's son was worth the price of the whole trip. It's a beautiful and unique museum with some of the most impressive artifacts I've ever seen. If you love history, this is your tour!

Very interesting if you like history - This tour includes 2 museums, 2 arqueological sites and a mausoleum so if you arenjot into history it might not be your thing, I really loved it, it was so interesting and the fuide lazarus is very kind and knowledgeable. I hope we had more time in the final stop when we have to see the palace, the mausoleum and also have lunch in 2 hours! I had to run from one side to another and this is the most interesting part of the tour! everything else was excellent, thanks!
